I wonder if their stake in Plus positions them as potential white knight, to defend against a hostile takeover? If so they will extract a price one way or the other. Doesn't seem any reason to sell Plus now while it is undervalued, surely?

Soon playtech will hsve doubled their vslue on Plus 500. If they cssh in then it is an awful lot if profit in a short time.

Either wsy the divi yield is enormous.

888 has been a great investment from 32p. Held since then and only recently added more and gone long spreadbet. They are a slick machine and could grow organically but are also very vulnerable to a bid.Problem is that they are so well run there is little fat to trim. Still, plenty of cost savings from cost duplications.Question is who will jump first.Could even be GVC in a year or so to secure a stronger casino offering.Little too lose from an 888 long imo bar regulation issue that is holding them back at the moment

TEB, I'm very optimistic about the PTEC and Ladbrokes Coral partnership. LCL has reduced its overheads as separate companies and can plough the millions of cash saved into online development via PTEC, thank you very much.

Trent, you follow this sector closely. What do you think of takeover possibilities of 888?

Hills and Lads recovering nicely. Sector still growing and of course many front Enders supplied by ptec softwareWith consolidation there are fewer big boys left. The gvc model is the alternative to ptec. They really have it all with front end and backendInteresting times

The shares were over 900p two years ago. Despite super strong growth the share price has not got very far since then. The Sagi sales knock it back but the impact has been less each time. The interims are due this month and I expect excellent growth. The impact of Brexit on the headline numbers and year on year comparisons is out of the way. At every results pundits describe PTEC as "exceptionally cheap".

I think there is a very good chance Playtech will be bought out over the next few years possibly by a private equity consortium.

If it makes 1200 by year end I will be very happy - and surprised

Brokers never or seldom give a date with their target price. That would make them wrong most of the time. The forecast of 1500 by year end is mine and not MS. I am anticipating an autumn boom in stock markets. PTEC was already undervalued and is now further depressed by the Sagi sale. I'm anticipating this overhang will be cleared by October.Sagi now has only 6.3% of PTEC. This situation will draw in more institutional investors who were previously wary of the Sagi influence. The PTEC ongoing growth story is formidable and shows no sign of slowing. This premier growth is not reflected in the market valuation / share price.

50% rise in 5 months? That's aggressive for PTEC.

Two of my larger and most exciting holdings are PTEC and GAW.For nine months it was a neck and neck race been PTEC and GAW as to who would reach 1000p. GAW got their first but only neck between them. The race to 1500p was won by GAW yesterday. PTEC was hobbled by Sagi's sales again but will I think also get to 1500 before the year is out.

Some good online gaming news from LadbrokesRemember now PTEC links to their online presenceGood for LADS up over 3 percent but also good for PTEC who own quite a large percentage LADS if I recall

UVA, I agree although it may keep the share price down while some of the 36 million shares recently acquired at 924p are sold into the market. Meanwhile, the company marches forward and the share price will rally once Sagi's sold shares are out of the way.

Still weak.

Strange as given all the new business initiatives next results are set to be stellar.

Mr Sagi is moving alot of his money into real estate. As is his right. That does not negate the quality and scope of this business.

Sagi sold his shares at 924p. Some of those instis may be happy to hold for 12 months and make 10% or more on capital plus divi income." Brickington has sold 36.5 million ordinary shares at a price of 924 pence per ordinary share (the "Placing")."

if institutions snapped up shares around 9.38 at a discount to market price, its with the intention of getting a good return relatively quickly to agree such large purchases. trading update will no doubt boost share price. looks like its a floor not ceiling or a lot of wealthy , professionals have been conned which I highly doubt considering owners many interests in companies that will rely on his honesty and relationships with institutions to grow.
