They take over a £100k a year out in salaries and fess in order to invest £500k in a listed company that any of us could have bought direct at the same price.

Poor form and hardly going to attract new shareholders

Like I say, I have no idea what they are doing other than sustaining a lifestyle on our hard earned.

On a day to day basis they will be paying themselves a remuneration. What size of a hole will that put in the funds?

Don't think that they would want to place at this price, massive dilution for all there including the Directors holdings, would expect some updated news beforehand

They will most likely need afund raise

They had £52k as at 30 April 2016

Raised £100k July 2016

Raised £525k Nov 2016

Raised £150k Nov 2016

Less £500k into Eco (Atlantic) Oil & Gas Ltd. in Feb leaves them with about £300,000

Interesting NED appointment. Looks as if he is there to protect Paternoster's 25% stake and hopefully to oversee an RTO.

Maybe a decent/quick turn on ECO before an RTO but not sure that's good etiquette- let's wait and see.

True but dont they have to do something to maintain the listing? Big fall today makes the mkt cap ever more attractive as a reverse I guess.

Possibly - that would offer some sort of rational explanation since it's a position they could realise very quickly if needed.

Bit of a gamble however on the ECO price making decent progress in the short term which is far from guaranteed.

Problem is that what tends to happen when listed investment companies simply buy other listed shares is that the target shares rise but there is little or no movement in the investment vehicle due to a lack of transparency.

Either way I just think it makes PIRI look a bit pointless.

RNS at least refers to ongoing RTO activity to which this is essentially a distraction.

Presumably Paternoster approved this deal as they are in effect controlling Pires. I wonder if they see it as a short term way of making their money work until the RTO is sorted?

It's down because expectations were high for something innovative and a bit left field rather than something you could have just bought yourself , and incidentally that I turned down when it was offered to me direct , but I now own it by default So , as an investment , it's kind of ok but begs the question what's the point of PIRI ?

tburns dunno, but maybe coz zero activity suggested they were holding out for the RTO.

As they have now made an investment folks may think that the RTO chance has gone
