Thanks And they threw off $162m last year, although production looked a little higher. Thanks for clarifying the dividend amount - 1.5c seems more sustainable. Guess it's all down to the oil price going forward

Hi Basem1, the cash position was updated last week for Q3 with a decent cash build over the quarter. Main risk at the moment is how they get their oil to market as they use barges to ship it out and these routes are being affected by a severe dry season.
The divi is currently 1.5c per quarter with the potential for special divis, last quarter included an extra 1c so the yield is currently inflated by this. Also as this is a Canadian registered company there is 15% withholding tax on the divis slightly lowering the yield.

How is the cash situation here ? I was just wondering with that hefty quarterly dividend and the buybacks surely the dividend cannot be maintained at its current level ? Unless current production is throwing off above 100m dollars per year free cash. I am long - not a de ramp

Accounts receivable have gone from $100m at the end of Q2 to $67m at the end of Q3, which explains the growing cash pile despite a $23m dividend paid. With river levels a concern for Oct and Nov, I don't see a special dividend with Q3 results.

$94m of unrestricted cash vs $75m in Q2. Hopefully see another nice special divi this quarter too.

Agreed, won't be long before that cash is well North of $100m with oil price holding up reasonably well....new pipeline & sales strategies to come on line, buybacks continue, yield, will be interesting to see how this progresses over the next 12 months...DYOR

Im very pleased with the developments throughout 2023. Despite protests early in the year another super dry season with low river lvls ptal sold 14 000 bopd. The progress on the front of additional sales routes seems very promising as well. 94m cash is just comfortable!

Interesting NED appointment. M&A and Corporate Finance experience...

MBO? Sale on the cards? Refinancing?

DYOR but I am hoping this appointment, specific as it is, heralds some corporate action that will get these shares fairly valued! DYOR and all IMO

Views?

AIM market is going to test its lows.......thats all. In this kind of sell off anything and everything gets sold.

The rebound will come....just got to be patient and wait for it.

AIM market getting close now to the 700 level....which is where the bottom normally is apart from extreme events, like the Covid crash.

When everyone is shouting sell a crash is coming, its soon time to start buying.

The modern trading account apps eg trading 212, it's quite easy to buy 1 share with no trading fees.

Oil now over $90....OPEC will use high price to try and influence US election, you watch. NO sign of any increase in supply at all, quite the opposite....DYOR but PTAL should be making material EBITDA all things being equal IMO.....DYOR

Don't wish to jinx it, but the local pop'n seem a lot happier with PTAL these days... & if the Amazon were to dry up, the share price here would be the least of our worries!
