Well Rav I now know understand Db and Steel are filtered here but over on Steel's BB the loyal poster Db is very mute. The whole BOD have been asleep at the wheel for far too long.Natlata and Co seem very quiet at present and I find that disquieting.Let's hope OI have some ideas as to where we go from here.VGLTA

Ps have you seen PANR recent RNS's, Bod there have communicated well, even a RNS to say a quick update!

I just find it bonkers that natlata and general overseas, the former caused a farce when the farmout was agreed. In fact delayed everything and we could in fact be in 3000's bopd if not for them. Then post farm out suggested they will keep an eye on the Bod, have since they gained a huge stake in the company with a low ball buying strategy alongside general overseas, the definite fact now that the Bod failed on numerous boundaries, alongside Oil India it must be said as they are also involved in the drilling/panel......yet both large holders have yet to speak out? Nor have Oil? I thought the Bod mentioned other assets were of interest which Oil may get involved with. Bod needs a mix up imo, and general drilling plan needs to be checked...but let's see the two wells fixed and in production in Jan with 450 bopd each at least!Gla. Imo, dyor. And yes dbarron is quiet alongside steel...because they are filtered!

yep, Panr, superb 20p to 130p this year very much the oil stock winner, i remember RR from UEN days, i think it is best to cut losses on duds. Both UEN and PTR along with many other oil stocks have seen people lose heavily.

lukead your advice might be well meant but is probabley not that well researched.I have various Oil related shares some down - PTR others - PANR well up.Taking a view forward a year or so it would be a brave man to bet against the POO not going higher from the current low levels.I do think PTR have been badly managed for too long and a. change at the top is badly needed.VGLTA

ravin when our gang say January they are probably talking next summer. You just can't trust them in any way what so ever, such is the reason we now find ourselves at 2p. You can polish it up anyway you like but 2p per share tells the true story. Sold 50% of my Ptr shares through out yesterday and today at a loss and I see no compelling reason to keep the rest. Only hope here will be some low ball bid and perhaps a counter bid, but that is just clutching at straws. WHERE IS DbarrOn now....???

Something all should note...they stated "We are implementing workover programmes designed to address these issues and expect to see production begin to improve shortly," Petroneft said.So entry at current level could improve come jan should both well reach 450ish. I emphasise, from current share price Gla, imo

Well we now know that poor old PTR has not changed at all.The old songsheet of promise much and deliver little has again been followed.DF should stand down and draw his pension along with his other old mates. We need someone new to take a look and maybe even tell us the truth which might be to shutdown with a trade sale of the assets. There is now no money left to drill so it would be a good time to slim down and admit they are unable to get any uplift from their current mode of operationsThe main holders must be well chuffed with this latest news as an early Xmas present. It is hard to see any signs of hope here!VGLTA

Chelsea beaten again, eh?

Poor RNS but not the end of the world by any stretch.

I do wonder how long these 'acid tests' take to help recover flow. If they can do this within three weeks and release an RNS that would be better than wait until end of Jan as the share price could imo be hitting even lower!Imo, gla

A truly awful update of epic proportions.

Management guidance was for 3,500 to 4,000 Bopd.
Actual 2,500.
If I missed estimates by that margin at work I would be sacked.
The only good point is that the update was so awful, management credibility in tatters so maybe just maybe a lowball opportunistic bid will come through and put an end to our misery.
I thought the BoD had said earlier "lessons had been learn't" clearly not.

Terrible.

The paradox of the oil market is that a glut disguises the tightest balance of supply and demand in modern peacetime history

Very true comment Crudde and it has irked me for a long period. When they are shuffling round yet again looking for yet more funds I am sure someone will query them on that issue.VGLTA

Ravin, you are right on one level it does pass the time. However I have said before, a friend of mine does have a stake here and he asks my advice. I only wish he'd listened! I don't short as I do not think it is ethical although perhaps I should!

Papillon I agree. All due respect to RCT, but IF I was in his so called 'position' i.e sold out near 6-7p. Once I have made my point, why would you continuously post, just move on, unless he's using this to pass his time. However I give the benefit of doubt over the years that he did sell. Can't really trust any blogger it's how these boards work. It's opinions without any faces, trust who want really. Like I don't trust steel, dbarron and Ning. They have egg on their face after banning many poster on the other thread. It's exactly what we what have been saying for months but were shot down.#realitycheckImo, dyor.
