Chunky trades coming through now...seems like a selling majority atm.

Rns is decent imo, followed previous plan, hint of a positive reserve upgrade, production flat/natural marginal decline(considering there are wells that need to get back on production), latest well result is without pump (so with pump will be 300-400 imo), and they have reiterated that bopd expected to be 4000bopd. Horizontal wells yet to be added on (weren't these, according to a poster on here, once in proper production to yield between 500-1000bopd)...looks gd but as I said, share price doesn't react accordingly, may well get increases post rns as we usually do.

Rct, did you do the trade I mentioned during last rns...no brainer...imo will happen again.

Gla, gd weekend. Until next 6 weeks...hopefully will be at current level or at 6p!

PetroNeft (LON:PTR) – Look What We've Got!

Today's news that the latest Sibkrayevskoye appraisal well has confirmed the initial prognosis of ~50mm bbl 2P reserves (gross) will lift the Company, but it is the reminder of the news that we believe underpins the Company's immediate outlook.

While company will be buoyed by these results, and rightly so, the key for us is the delivery of the drilling programme aimed at developing the asset base and doubling production by year end.

In this context, and given the ready infrastructure in the immediate area, the impact of the “new reserves” at Sibkrayevskoye should be immediate and should continue to buoy the Company over the next 18 months at least, which should make for a happy ownership base.

It seems to me this statement is saying that PTR have lots of 'potential' but how much of this potential will they fulfill???

Cenkos morning note 22/5/2015.

PetroNeft Resources (PTR.L, 4.78p, £34m) ops update on Licence 61. Sibkrayevskoye 373 appraisal well flowed at 100 bopd - expect higher with ESP. Lower than 2012 372 well (170 bopd) but higher on structure - coy expects could lead to an upgrade to current 53 mmbbls 2P. Also acquired 1000km 2D over field. Elsewhere, Tungolskoye pipeline is completed and vertical well has spudded. L-10 horizontal well has also spudded on West Lineynoye and Arbuzovskoye Pad 1 drilling is complete. Positive – not a particularly impressive flowrate at S-373 but probably to be expected and an upgrade would be nice (although as ever, 50 mmbbls 2P on these flowrates is only ever seen in Russia). Also still apparently on to almost double production (from current 1,950 bopd) by YE

The operational update from Petroneft contains the important news that the result from the #373 well on the large Sibkrayevskoye Field indicates that it has lived up to expectation. The statement also included generally positive news throughout with targets being met, capital investment completed and a busy drilling schedule underway. This statement is positive and should be welcomed by shareholders.

If the price of oil recovers then we have a scenario for a mkt cap rerating barring any unforeseen disasters.

Predictions of news this week look increasingly likely to be proved wrong UNLESS we are handed an early surprise tomorrow morning. Somehow I doubt it will be a Friday news delivery, but I hope I'm wrong !!
