Well RavinI hope you are right but suspect you are incorrect.The fact that réserve increases usually raise an E&Ps value seem obvious to me but PTR have proved thé exception to that rule.Anyway an RNS is due and lets hope PD has written a good clear account of where we are at this timeVGLTA

Sean, I disagree.

There are other AIM Oil&GAS comps, with bad records, with debt and with share fallen from previous peaks, however, reserve upgrades have reignited their share price

Reserve upgrade and confidence the current plan is working is what is needed, or everyone can sit here in two years time at around the same levels as oil, at current market levels of forecast on demand etc, to reach $80+...anyone read the opec report released yesterday, it said 40-70 range for some time.

PTR has never had a problem with its P2 reserve numbers, they are there (and valued very low) but as a producer the Company has up until now proved to fall short. Any increase in P2 will have no real valuation effect unless the actual production numbers can be shown to be increasing in an economic manner. PTR in the past spent a fairly disproportionate amount on infrastructure to handle an output that proved to be impossible for them to achieve. If the new horizontal wells can give meanful increases in the oil output those facilities start to become of value to the bottom line (hopefully).
The plan for License 61 has been laid out and hopefully with OI looking over their shoulders our 'old' BOD will now finally deliver.

What's the likelihood of the new latest seismic data, showing oil in every crevice, and properly increasing their reserves?Anyone? When method/type of assessment are they working-on for their reserves earlier etc etc? Likelihood of uplift etc etc?

News this week , tmoz possibility but we usually get at least two moves by mms, today rose pre market...imo...if not then they are clearly waiting on results or the seismic results sent to a Russian authority to approve may still be in waiting in the post?! Dyor gla

Key point is whether people think PTR will do better in the future than its doing now.Then people will buy and hold.3,000 punters buying & holding. That's want we need, positive progress, positive results & positive future forecasts. Simples.It's coming, just when?

If we get news this week it may stop a drift to sub 4p but I cannot see it doing much to raise us over the 5p level.I am afraid we will need steady output increases to show there is hope for our current BODs strategy and plans for their future.Anyway the real interest will be when the new longer horizontal wells prove their worth in bold numbers.The POO is looking a bit better in H2 so the timing of the PTR drilling campaign could work out well - for a change!VGLTA

Crude oil dropped 3% yesterday. Whoever said the Ptr share price is following the oil price was right. Crude right now is up .76% (11:30pm).

Ptr stated that the price of oil should not affect them as they trade in Russia. The market appears not to be seeing it that way.

One can't argue I guess with our 4p share price Say all you want re. potential but there must be plenty good reason why even as crude oil prices increase PTRs share price struggles to stay above 4p. Well there is always next week..!!

Tough week for me but every cloud eh...Tuesday morning had my house broken into and my car was stolen. That's all they wantedNot been around for a few days, catching up and very surprised not to see anything from the company.In which I believe that they Must be withholding information from shareholders.Have a great weekend everyone ...off to Haydock tmrw see if I can come home with a wheel barrow full of cash from the bookies

Let us hope the long period of waiting for news has afforded PD the time to pen a clear but detailed update on how the Company is now actually delivering on its 'ambitious' revival courtesy of OI.On the revivals theme the news is just out on Balls getting defeated.I for one will miss his constant whining on about how he could 'save' the Country just like his old boss Gordon.Now he will just have to do as his better half bids.VGLTA
