Well the company said it was an equity swap, could be likely, so how do you know what the out come is? The equity swap may already be agreed near the price when the news was released, so how do you know it will not be 15p for example.

If you are confident of a good outcome just buy, but don’t be ignorant to think it’s somebody else’s fault when you lose some/most/all of your money.

The company has spelt out what’s going on so putting your fingers in your ears makes no difference.
