Goggin, I believe 'submission if bids' is a term used for the actual ceremony.
As per the photo above, they have a ceremonial box which will 'receive' the 22 company bids (hence 'submission of bids' into the ceremonial box). They will then open the bids today and select the winners (based on the lowest renumeration percentage bid).

It wont be a long multi-month process. Winners are being selected today.

We should at least know if we are one of the 22 companies expressing an interest surely?

Looking at previous licencing ceremonies, specifically the 5th round in 2018, the winners were known and published the same day.
For example, the below article clearly shows it came out on the same day as the ceremony.

So, if today's ceremony is perhaps 2 hours long and started at 8:00 am our time (we are 2 hours behind) then we could hope to see something public any time from 10:00am this morning. Might be much later in the day of course.

Keep 'em peeled! :)

The press were invited invited for a reason... I would expect the news to start flowing as soon as bids are opened and winners announced.

The best place to search would be on the MOI website I should imagine.

Even if they know what submissions to expect you would guess today wouldn't be the results day.

From memory, didn’t it take a day or so for news of successful companies to filter through?

I am assuming that the MOI will publish the results of the tender rounds later today so we should have a good indication of these today

Yeah its a long shot but one never knows. Any deal its 50p plus maybe 5 GBP in 3 months. I nearly doubled up thursday and friday at around 3.2 p still lower then what I paid 3 years ago, circa 5p

From the article posted by Jim it says that there are 22 CO’s here and they are chasing 30 contracts. Some may get multiple contacts. Fingers crossed!!
