Let me guess the Joint bidder would have...

1 all the money
2 all the operational experience
3 all the operational manpower
4 not been thrown off a previous contract in Iraq
5 not have 20 years of failure behind them
6 not have a history of making losses year after year and therefore not looking so good...
7 already have contacts in Iraq , likely as they have already worked there...

Pet have not got a lot going for them....

Re: Iraq Licensing Rounds. From what I can make out the Publication of the Final Tender Protocol and Definitive Model Contract was done yesterday (4th April) and if we are bidding (which I hope we are!) the submission of Bid Bonds have to be made by the 18th April. The value of each Bid Bond is $5,000,000. The submission of bids for round 5+ is 28-29 April and round 6 is 1-2 May with documents submitted by the winning bidders on the 16th May. So therefore by the 17th May we should know.

- is to prove they are a company (or in some cases a country ) of means and that they will be able to meet any "contingency" connected with the bid or operating a contract.....

Clearly PET has not got that kind of dough - so submitting a bid with the reference to a bond - "we don't actually have it " is going to tell the Iraqi's everything they need to know....

It sounds like the plot of a comedy drama...

Wow you only just realised? Most Aim companies are lifestyle companies were directors get fat hogging the Turkey at shareholders expense. Nice jaunts to Iraq staying in 5 star hotels in Dubai for business meetings are a nice perk along with cushy pension and severance payments and salaries:- I mean why do anything and risk all that?

End of the trading month and quarter today - then just 4 trading days to the end of this tax year next week.

Reckon that ahead of the new tax year that next week could be better for small caps including of course Petrel Resources.
