From cuddles48 on LSERE: Pet.Today 18:36Well I am hearing that Roger Tamaraz is up to 47.5% in the agreed sellers of the shareholding in Eurobic bank. This is an extract from a news report. promissory agreement signed with Isabel dos Santos foresees that the Libyan investor Roger Tamraz can cancel the deal if he does not acquire over 50% of EuroBic's stake. The Libyan investor Roger Tamraz, who has already reached an agreement with Isabel dos Santos to take the 42.5% stake of the Angolan businesswoman in EuroBic, may drop the deal if he can't stay acquire the majority of the bank's stake, according to Jornal Económico. This situation is foreseen in the promissory agreement signed between Isabel dos Santos and Tamraz, forcing the Libyan investor to negotiate and convince other shareholders of the bank to sell him their shares. However, this may not happen.Roger Tamraz confirms interest in EuroBicRead MoreContrary to what happened with Abanca, this time there is no alignment of interests between EuroBic shareholders, which makes the outcome of this process more uncertain.Fernando Teles, who holds 37.5%, revealed to Valor Económico that there are about 12 interested investors in the bank and that the sale process will take place "in the coming months".Im told today the central bank has asked all the other shareholders to sell. To Roger Tamaraz group. I'm also aware that once this bank takeover is complete then it's back to sort out Petrel and get control with the agreement of the board. So maybe that's why a few have been buying in at these mega low prices as it might not be long before we get some movement. It's well worth a punt. In my opinion.

I am once more totally confused.

Todays trading was certainly odd. Somebody wants to buy our shares.

No idea Ducky, just posting an interesting LSE article. Netoil have very diverse holdings in oil and gas, property and banks so fits the profile. Whether or not they would use Petrel for this purpose I honestly do not know but certainly not beyond the realms of possibility. As always dyod and should be fun finding out once Tamraz has control of Eurobic and turns his attentions to Petrel.

From the lse threadhttps://econews.pt/2020/10/16/roger-tamraz-confirms-interest-in-eurobic/ Key last paragraphRegarding the origin of the funds to carry out the acquisition, whose agreement has already been communicated to the Bank of Portugal, the Libyan businessman assured to the newspaper that he has the liquidity to finance the operation, namely through companies listed in London and Frankfurt.

Great find KD. If contracts are being awarded, why wait for an oil law?

Yep, fair enough. I would never claim to fully understand how the market works - and just when I think I do something happens that proves me wrong. And then there's all the back room shenanigans to must it up !Crack finish anyway, brewing up nicely.

Holding tight.it seems a large premium if it's a bed and isa although you make a fair point.Looking at another investment it's clear from holdings announcements that a holder in my other investment is selling and it is being executed slowly through regular buying and selling on a daily basis so transfer of shares is not always executed in the way you are suggesting .

It has been suggested before that this is shares being moved about... If that's what this is, then more likely someone shifting them into an isa / sipp / jisa.I reckon that CP related moves (re eycp) would be arranged as a simple transfer rather than open market trade - or at least if an open trade, then at a matched price (and broker fee) ?
