KD - it's easy when you want something so much, to read between the lines and take whatever subliminal signals you want to hear...

I have no doubt that you may well be in touch with members of the board and also the Tamraz Group. ["may well" sounds like you do have doubts. I am in touch regularly, as are other long term trustworthy shareholders].

They cannot however, discuss or give you price sensitive information, as this would be deemed as Insider Trading [ns Sherlock]

Neither have been able to show or complete anything that would result in the company being anything other than what it is - a shell company with a lot of ideas and potential. [which is why the TG are interested in taking control of Petrel to monetize their private illiquid assets!]

The board have drawn huge salaries for over 20 years [€30,000 salary for DH in 2018 and 2019 is less than what I earn! :)]

...and developed nothing [Maybe not 'developed' a field as such but have carried out several EPC and TSA pieces of work, one worth $200m, at the invitation of the IOM]

...and the Tamraz group have so far not been able to stump up a single penny to back up their ideas or convictions....[apart from the €800k in cash they invested in Petrel, causing the share price to quadruple]

I had a quick look on the other thread, but they all seem to have turned negative on there... perhaps that the deramping thread?

On the contrary, I am not guessing or clutching at straws and I probably do know more than the next man. Although no specifics are ever given, I am receiving email correspondence, to myself and a few others,from both Michel Fayad and the Board on a weekly basis, sometimes more frequently.

From these, it is possible to read between the lines and work out more or less what is actually going on.

Name one thing he has alluded to that has materialised....

Nothing....

The CP was in all probability a scam.
It collapsed when the lender immediately started selling the collateral shares on the market that had not been paid for.
The fact they were using the unpaid for shares as collateral against a loan says everything about Tamraz and co.

The only hope here is PET negotiate their own deal in Iraq or Ghana - but as of yet, other than Inshalla hints at the AGM, and KD's hypothesis from Iraqi Paris visits, it would appear there is nothing happing - still!

I agree. If the CP can take over before the end of the year, we can start again. KD mentioned that that was their intention.

The Sage I think it has once again become obvious that PET lack the size, backing and depth to achieve anything without new blood. They need to reset, sort out their differences with the CP, and as BigBudda say let a new, younger, management team try and create shareholder value. Otherwise we will get more of the same - more dilution that fails to add any value. The current Board gave it their best shot and it's time now to pass the reins over. Hopefully, this is what they are currently considering.

Agree the Sage and JT is too old now need to hand over to younger management they were always going to be just the middle men and sell up if they got a deal Common PET GLA

This management has had twenty years and brought us nothing. Yes, I know that they have had some bad luck and that some situations have been beyond their control. But I feel that now is the time to hand over the reins to new management. Let's see what the CP can do. They can't do any worse.
