01/12/2020 17:26 | For me, the key clues to Tamraz's overall strategy are in these two recent Portuguese articles in relation to Tamraz buying into Eurobic: Jornal Economico (Oct 30th): International investor of Lebanese descent, Roger Tamraz, expressed interest in buying EuroBic to integrate this bank “in a larger business platform”, with the aim of developing operations “in several geographies”. Jornal Negocios(Oct 16th): Asked by Negócios about the origin of the funds to finance the purchase [of EuroBic], Roger Tamraz guarantees that he has liquidity, namely through companies listed in London and Frankfurt. "I am not talking about a personal investment, of buying, but of more than 20 thousand shareholders through the stock exchange." | kdickson
01/12/2020 17:22 | No need to buy 100% of a company. Less expensive just to own 51% or more and still have control. | kdickson
01/12/2020 17:10 | Cheers KD, I forgot about that point. He was at 47.5 percent last week wasn't he? I'll be very pleased if the injunction is lifted before Christmas. | the sage
01/12/2020 16:58 | kd .. I thought they wanted complete control of bank .. not majority. | ducky fuzz
01/12/2020 16:45 | Hi The Sage. Another key point (imo) to add to your list is that the Tamraz group will finalize Petrel only after they they conclude their ongoing activity of taking majority control of Portuguese bank EuroBic. | kdickson
01/12/2020 16:36 | Br .. Someone told me that if PETrels share price is 3.1p sell & 3.3p buy & someone buys at 3.15p then ADVFN's software puts it in the sell column because that is what it is closest to. So yes vice-verca .. of course a lot of trades in the buy column can be sells. DF Both Online buy & sell trades are often close together & get put in the wrong buy or sell column. | ducky fuzz
01/12/2020 16:28 | From The Sage on the deluded thread: I'm going to attempt to join up the dots with the help of some well respected long term shareholders. From KD, we hear that the Tamraz group met with the Iraqi delegation in Paris on the week commencing 19th October. From Bronislav, we learn that the meeting wouldn't have taken place unless any disputes were resolved. From KD, we know that Pet applied to have the injunction lifted on 7th October. Michel has mentioned to me and others that they hope to take over Pet soon. From Palace Pete we hear that "our group will do something for Pet when we takeover" So now we come to the unusual share activity. If board members or large holders are transferring shares to the CP and they bought their shares at 1p, they will still make a profit, and their remaining shares could well go to £1 or more when deals are announced and CP assets are transferred. I'm sure that KD'S analytical skills would do a better job of analysing what we know so far. Thoughts anyone?.......... First thought is that if Michel is interested in acquiring the company why would he be adding froth to the price by telling everyone that he is a buyer. The general rule is buy low sell high (unless you are a PET believer when it is buy high sell low). Just a second thought. If they acquire PET what are they buying? Expertise - No, none. New assets - no, none. Market share - no, none. When you analyse it they are buying an off the peg company that is a cashless shell, but it is listed (oh and it has some capitalised Directors' salaries on the balance sheet) | the diddymen
01/12/2020 16:28 | Ducky.when pet hit the mid twenty s last year I will guarantee that some of the larger trades showing as buys were indeed sells and the same applies when company shares hit lows, some large buys are put through as sells. It's logic, the smart money buys in low and sells high because they know what's happening. | bronislav
01/12/2020 16:27 | Br .. if that was the case then there would be a buy & a sell. | ducky fuzz
01/12/2020 16:22 | Those sold shares that caused all the fuss could be in the hands of influential Iraqis.? I doubt very much that Mr Tamraz was duped. He seems much smarter than that.I accept we will never know. | bronislav
01/12/2020 16:15 | Billy Barrelorgan...... | the diddymen
01/12/2020 16:14 | 2 x 100k buys :-) The share price has popped back up a little. | ducky fuzz
01/12/2020 15:36 | On this one I think fenners is correct - why should the CP pay today's price when they could have picked them up at 1.25c? If/ when the CP have an asset in the background why not just use that to get back the locked-in shares? For me the crux of it is not what the CP may, or may not, be doing but what is the current PET board doing to get a deal over the line? Perhaps this is why we are starting to see some large sells. | bountyfull
01/12/2020 15:28 | I think some people are losing patience & this is causing others to sell. Plus the CP may be selling their shares for whatever reason. There has been a sell off its not just shares being transferred. Any positive news either from the CP or old PETrel BOD & this will rocket BUT no news & the share price will continue to fall unless there are some gamblers out there. DF | ducky fuzz

01/12/2020 15:08 | Hi Bo .. I'm afraid it looks pretty clear that 793,000 are sell & 37,000 are buys. I think everything looks pretty logical. Sorry DF | ducky fuzz

01/12/2020 14:28 | Exile.spread is 3p-3.3p We then get another circa 250k sells and the spread is 3.1p-3.3p.Explain that. | bronislav |
