Not sure it's going to come. The landscape in this sector has changed to the detriment of their business model. Without an acquisition, growth will be a challenge.

Personal Group (PGH) full year 2021 presentation - March 2022

Following 15 months of unprecedented COVID-19 related restrictions on the Group’s ability to conduct new insurance policy sales, the Group was able to begin rebuilding the insurance policyholder book in the second half of 2021. This, combined with the significant strategic progress that the Group was able to make during the 12 months ended 31 December 2021, underpins the Board’s confidence in the Company’s growth trajectory and future prospects.

Face to face insurance should boost this share price plus the already increasing sage business should mean a much higher profit and dividend this year!

Just listened to the year-end presentation. I was a weak holder, but I was quite impressed with the presentation. Key strands are around: 1. Building back insurance and new Chairman has great experience from Homeserve...seems credible and achievable with new sales channels and better penetration. 2. Building the SME proposition - well the Sage business has grown really well over the last 12m - credible. 3. Innovation and growing the number of customers. Won 20 new clients in the year. Overall, I am more impressed than I have been in the last 12m or so, so will stay on board to see how things go!

Thanks - some encouraging signs. H2 still saw a slight drop in insurance policies from 236k to 230k+. This needs to grow in H1. I would have liked to see some evidence that it is now growing on a monthly basis now that face to face sales have resumed and the 9% growth over 2019 exceeds terminations. Other business streams are positive with Hapiflex, customer wins etc. The medium term targets are all fair enough and will deliver significant shareholder value if achieved. On balance, I am just about a holder whilst the momentum continues. Deborah Frost is doing some good stuff outside insurance. On the core insurance proposition they need to refocus and really get their act together this year.
