If this was a larger company with such a growth record it would be far higher price. If they make over 4p for the full year, which looks very possible, current pe is still only around 9!

I have added also.

Added to my holdings here after solid results this morning, better than I had expected. Nice divi increase by 20%, and impressive margin increase to 8.2% giving EPS of 2.21p.

Should see a decent increase in broker estimates now.

Fantastic set of interim results. Made 2p EPS in H1 which is what they managed for the full year last year.

Those early sells giving a good opportunity to buy some more here, I missed the opportunity to top up but decided last night after my second purchase yesterday that I want more of these.

My C21 money needs a home.

Yeah, me too, not quite quick enough to grab 33p. Had to pay 34p for my batch.

"revenues and profits for 2012 are likely to exceed current market expectations"

This is what I have been waiting for, and did buy more at the open. Interims are due 3rd September.

Wish I'd taken more notice of these previously, they look a nice little company. Have opened a position and will buy more on weakness not that I expect any.

Not sure if there will be another ts or not but year end is June.

These must be doing exceptionally well to put out an 'exceed' statement in May so early to end of first half.

Welcome cfro, I hadn't known a trading statement was due next week, when you consider that the May update said "revenues in 2012 are now likely to exceed current market expectations" after only the first quarter. Will they have enough confidence to say that profits are likely to exceed current market expectations?

If so then your timing should be very good.

BTW, I did buy into SID today.

Bought a small initial holding this afternoon. Not easy to buy either.

Great looking share this trading extremely well. Pe less than 10. Trading update due next week?

The important words in that are "up to"! It's extremely common for companies to actually buy back far fewer than they're authorised to...

Since the AGM on 15th May that authorised market purchases of up to 15 per cent of the Company's Ordinary Shares = 3,965.045. PEN have brought back 59,500 shares on three seperate days, only 3,906.045 to go.

Will provide solid support to the share price this year.

Could be looking at a 2p+ dividend this year then.

Found the recent estimates from W H Ireland. See below.

2012, PBT = £1.20m and EPS = 3.31p

2013, PBT = £1.30m and EPS = 3.59p

A 20% increase in 2012 estimates so early in the finacial year is very encouraging for further increases later this year imo.

Pleased to see this move higher on the back of some fresh buying, against a very difficult day on the markets.

Anyone seen the recent forecasts from WH Ireland?

I don't know Mr Powell, but I think he will want an exit in the next five years - will he trust someone else to run his business? He's getting close to retirement, so it may make sense to cash in at some point while the going is good. It won't be 30p though...must be worth double that if it's acquired. Fingers crossed!

Seeing the price go above 30p last week reminds me (with the help of the chart) of how difficult it was to sell at this level back in the summer of 2007. I did manage to sell a few and bought them back below 10p 15 months later. (Sadly this is not entirely typical of my share-trading experience.)
Pennant's prospects look more secure now than then but one must remember that there are downs as well as ups in this business.
Having said that, I am minded to hold on this time round as the market is so thin. We are lucky that Mr. Powell approves of dividends and I think we shall need to see increases in an already generous payment if the share price is to make further progress.
One relevant factor here is that the Inheritance Tax exemption for business assets makes the retention of the Powell family's large holding more attractive for them than a disposal unless on very generous terms. I forget how old our Chairman is but suspect that he is of an age to have this in mind !
