You tell me how you can put out an RNS saying the results for the year will be at the top end of forecast with only 4 months gone?

Even if you thought it you wouldn't dare say it for risk of disappointing unless you were 110% confident imo - or so ahead in H1 you'd need a disasterous H2 to miss that target, imo.

yep, lets get rid of a load of staff, get a few multi tasking and cut the wage bill. Should add £4-5m to the bottom line if they easte 2K jobs.

Chart has clearly broken above last Nov high too.

50p short to medium term imo - I see we have the afternoon strength showing again - reckon Interamericana Trading Corp are increasing their stake.

Looking at the sales of Holdings in the Company on 21/04 and 30/04 it represents about 8% of the company. This happened just before ex-dividend earlier on in the year, which I thought was odd, but subsequently looked like institutions/CFD companies were being instructed to buy and sell on to a third party. So who has picked up this 8%? Something definitely in the offing.

i think if we hit 40p we could move smartly on from that point.

39.75....... chart suggests ( to my eyes ) that 40p could be a good marker point.

Be nice to see this provide a stable platform for further rises

Do we think they'll hit 40p by end of play today?

(currently 39.5)

Fingers crossed, it'd be nice to see them end the week on a high note

How about Sytner buying over Pendragon. Sytner Group is the UK's leading retailer of prestige and specialist cars. Ryland was 40% owned by Interamericana Trading Corp. Ryland was subsequently bought over by Sytner. Theoretically Sytner could wish to buy a main-stream dealer to broaden their portfolio and compete against EMH and Lookers.

Hadn't read any conspiracy theories lately so thought i'd generate one. A bidding war would be nice, I can't see Pendragon going without a fight, and I think they will have a few tricks up their sleeves. 60p here we come (I hope, for starters...)

Dunno if anyone is looking at PDG but if there is it will be Interamericana Trading Corp. who bought 3% in April imo.

I think they are a buy on valuation - so does Jack Petchey I would think but if they get bid for I can live with that :-)
