I think that started to be factored in when the share price fell from 120p to here.

With 10% yield, and an asset backing base the envy of most other companies, todays level represents one of the most outstanding buys I have seen for a long time, regardless of current trading conditions.

I think that someone needs to change the thread title!
It looks like the long running consumer boom is now coming to an end on both sides of the atlantic.

Eastbourne

In Motor Trader 17th October

Pendragon has closed seven Volvo showrooms.........there has been speculation that the company was forced to close the sites because it was unable to sell them..............comes shortly after industry speculation that Pendragon may be forced to issue a profit warning due to poor September car sales.

Hardly a positive outlook at present and don't believe this is yet priced in.

so much for the profit warning posted above - lol!!

I have just closed my long for just under 10% profit in just over a week so I am happy enough with that,

still look cheap but I am not a long term investor in these

surely the bad news is already priced into the Share price, the share price has already fallen 50% in the last few months because of lower profits etc

OBVIOUSLY I came in a little too early on this however I am happy to hold it for a while even it goes down a little further, should be back well over 60p in a month or two, once it does reverse it does have a habit of moving fairly swiftly so hopefully that will happen again, SOON!!

I was just about to create a thread on this one myself, so thanks ! Yes, I think this one is cheap too and have bought some. I did well a while back with Lookers and suspect this one may have a decent run over the next six months. They say times are hard for dealers at present but this may even be an opportunity for the bigger players in a consolidating market, good luck with your investment.
