Interesting how it is following last year's pattern so closely just a few pence lower.
Could be a quick bounce coming?

The AGM was statement was a bit cautionary and also i think some are a bit converned about how interest rate rise sensitive the stock is - both in terms of consumers buying less expensive cars potentially and the company paying more on its borrowings to funds its expansion.

thanx chris - with rsi touching 25, surely a technical bounce may be close. Dread to think what'd happen if it dipped below £1.

What's the reason for the massive retracement of late, other than broker comments ? ? ?

I think more people trade it than comment on here - it really is a quiet board!

I also bought some today and i own some longer term.

Looks like Panmure have downgraded to a hold - about the 4th time they've changed their view in the last year (from memory normally getting it wrong!)

Bought in today @102. Does nobody trade this stock ? ? ?

Awfully quiet board for such a volatile stock.

They have it all to do at the end of this month.

Well, the results are being well received and the Q1 surge is off and running bang on plan.

Could expect a bit of resistance around 105/106 but when that goes then we could pick up another 10% fairly quickly.

The market is telling us that the fundamentals aren't good. Highest volumes on down days, downward trend exists (i.e. the three descending highs) and price is below the falling long term moving average. All bad news.

Wouldn't buy unless price exceeds 110p which is roughly where the downtrend line at the mo.

Could this be the start of the Q1 surge?

Morale very low with pdg employees, no wage increases
in the last 3 years, managers having to sweeten staff by
paying for overtime not worked, and fiddling bonuses,
Leeds branch just about to lose Morrisons parts business,
worth 200,000 a month, will close them down, losing MAN truck
franchise, PDG not interested in the truck dealers they acquired
when they bought Brammall's. What an opportunity missed, as
the truck market is so buoyant.
After saying that, this company always seems to come up with the
goods, come reporting time, I'm going to have a little punt.

Could it be Aviva selling? Looking at Sharescope, they were holding 40mil in April.

If price drops below 90p, I'm buying more.

HUge sells and before Preliminary results on 15th Feb. What do you read into this? Who was the Seller/Buyer?

If we can bounce from support here around 90 then it could be time for the annual first quarter surge.

It sure is quiet around here. I think this is NOW a buy. Great Dividend Yield. Profit growth story despite tough market conditions. Tough for who though?, yes definately the small independant dealerships find it tough. However big boys like pendragon still grow profits, ok with the help of acquisitions. Well documented that UK market is very fragmented, Pendragon as the largest dealer is well placed.

Finals due Feb, dividend paying March. Possible news flow on takeovers.

Graph well supports current share price.

Any thoughts?

Slowing for a temp fall on to 50-day MA, then back to a stronger rise, IMO. Here's a snapshot just now:

If we open green tomorrow, or at yesterday's high/close/thereabouts (but not down or lower than yesterday's low), then I reckon we're LONG again. There was too much activity last week & week before for this one to be continuing its down cycle. Elliot wave lower highs or not, this one could break out up, IMO. I was in a 496 and out at 518 last week, but reckon out temporarily. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

The Directors seem to be piling in, with real money, adding to holdings that are already large. That's either confidence or idiocy - and they don't look like idiots ...

Turning up off support now?
Only think is I hope the old Elliot pattern isn't forming. A lower high after the 3rd cycle. But the May sell off probably had something to do with the current pattern. Has the recent bid been accepted well...? Maybe not.
Still, I'm long again.
