They hired a lot - employee costs up £1.1m. You also have the non recurring transition to remote working of £244k in there.

Do you know why admin costs went up so much?

Not far off - 1.4p EPS if you adjust out their £244k one off cost for transition to remote working model. I would have been happy for them to adjust this out, surprised they didn't.

Based off numbers previously announced to the market, my calculation is for 1.34p adjusted EPS. The outlook statement is where my focus will be.

Results tomorrow, what are people's predictions? I don't expect the second half to have been quite as good as the first so i'll go for eps of 1.7p a share.

Hardly any free stock around, very tight supply.
I'm thinking it's ready to move on good news.

A steady ticking-up has now been going on for a couple of months.
Small step-increases and I'm pleased with that and happy to be a holder.

Interested to see how debt has come down and forward look.
Through 14p and this could run.
Market sentiment may weigh heavily though.
Fingers crossed.

Some buying going through and price shifting. Wasn't expecting much until closer or after the results on 5th May. Interesting.

They have recurring revenue from support contracts. Have to wonder if they can add further features that could lead to a predictable ARR model outside of just support. Somewhere in the IP workflow, cloud etc there should be something that could be monetised on a subscription basis to avoid larger upfront costs to smaller customers?

The remote working process is supposed to have led to near term cost increases that i think are out of the way now and then following that were cost savings that could show up soon.

Anyway, imho, its looking reasonable and with a bit of care should head higher. DYOR etc.

So far this year their run-rate of debt repayment has been higher than historically the case.
So £1M p.a debt repayment out of operating cashflows for 2018/9/20/21.
The period Jan 22 - end March 22 it has been £400K approx pay down- a run-rate of £1.6M for the year if they keep it up. 60% increase.

So - what does that say for the operating cashflows - a decent hint?
This is with increased emphasis on product development too. Sounds stronger to me.

"Pebble has systematically reduced its bank debt from £11.5 million at 31 December 2017 to £7.55 million at the end of 2021 and to £7.15 million as of today.  The reduction in bank debt has been made from operating cash flows at a rate of c.£1m per annum."

Another point, having lots of smaller customers can de-risk revenue and some will fly.
Big customers are great but increase vulnerabiity to their whims and buying patterns and the sales cycle to larger implementations is longer - from lead to billing could be > 1yr. Smaller opportunities can turn on in weeks and much harder for a competitor to dislodge from many smaller users. Big customers are an immediate competitor target.

Something similar to the OSPInsight approach within IQGEO.

Someone at Pebble is engaging brain well.

New website would be decent investment imho.

The freemium model makes a great deal of sense to reduce barriers to test/entry at the lower level, increase market breadth with users then biassed towards the freemium supplier when they jump in with both feet. Familiarity with Pebble Beach will increase, spread, and lead to greater opportunities.

It also has the result of increasing registered sales leads with real interest in the market when they download the freemium version.

A period of growth is due with full AWS and this is new today to help attract those wanting to see what IP can offer before comitting and spending - freemium -

Looked over this again.
Their website does need a revamp.
The offering for play out of a box across all channels and hybrid on prem and/or cloud is attractive. I can see this being a decent property to hold and heading higher.
The debt has been coming down and the money spent on R&D will pay off.

May 5th will tell all.

The link on post 197 has been taken down.

"Pebble Joins the AWS Partner Network and Achieves Certification of its Virtualised Playout Solution

7 days ago — Pebble will leverage its AWS Partner status and AWS FTR certification to work closely with the AWS ... 2022 Pebble Beach Systems (trading as Pebble)."

It can be found elsewhere -

This also interesting for connectivity, released about the same time.

Bit of a delay then from 21st April to 5th May but a positive RNS today and good to see PEB taking the opportunity to outline what progress they've made since end of 2017 in reducing the debt from £11.5m to £7.15m today.

Chart on the verge of a breakout. Perhaps results will be the catalyst for a rerating.

Emailed IR to enquire about a Notice of Results RNS as it was suggested we'd get one in the Trading Update and I was expecting results this month. Had email back advising no date for results confirmed but currently aiming for around 21st April.
