The spread on this share is horrendous though nearly 50% you cant trade this its a gamble sit in the bottom draw for a few months see where it ends up but looking at the 3 year chart it looks doomed but last 2 trading days could be the reversal

If you're going to ramp this stock could you at least be a bit more subtle and better informed about it.

the lawyers and regulatory costs for obtaining a banking license in the UK is more than 10 times the £1m market cap of PCF! The like of Revolut couldn't even to obtain that yet!the fact that the last rns from directors re Castle takeover was all agreed on in terms, yet Castle played a last minute blinder is baffling. As pointed before, the conditions of takeover panel still allows Castle to put an offer for a period of 6 month since last rns!!!

Somers got a plan, you don't cough up £1.5m at 5p for 3% to write it off in few month!Somers Bank!

Under Panel Rules, Somers have to pay at least the price that they last paid. So, any bid would have to be at 5p. They cannot bid at a penny or two.

Lots of upside of you believe they might take it private. However, they have shown no inclination to do so. I suspect they have long since written off their investment and are just trying to exit with no further cost….

Castle can still put an offer any day now given the conditions below now:As is customary under Rule 2.8 of the Code, Castle, and any person(s) acting in concert with it, reserve the right to make or participate in an offer or possible offer for PCF (and/or take any other action which would otherwise be restricted under Rule 2.8 of the Code) within the next six months of the date of this announcement:a) with the agreement of the board of PCF; b) following the announcement of a firm intention to make an offer for PCF by a third party; c) following the announcement by PCF of a Rule 9 waiver proposal (as referred to in Note 1 of the Notes on Dispensations from Rule 9 of the Code) or for a reverse takeover (as defined in the Code); ord) where the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers has determined that there has been a material change of circumstances.

Somers paid 5p few month ago, now they hold 73% so might be easier for them to offer 2-3p for minority shareholders and take it private then sack the board and sell the loans or keep few staff to look after collection. They got about £39m equity in those loans!!

cjd: happy to report that we sold our entire holdings of Harbour at the time of the results. Around 470p, I think. Looking to reinvest when price drops a bit more though.

Hi David, the involvement of administrators might just tie Laurel and Hardie’s hands behind their back but are paid by the hour and equally, might string it out and will not come cheap.

Probably best to place the business in administration. A professional administrator would do a better job of realising the assets than this team.

Thank-you Dandi - have similar thoughts. I’m in with an average of around 6p. I notice you too are a Harbour investor (my primary holding) Goodness we’ve earned our gin tonight. :)

Yes, but how much and how soon?

The longer it takes the lower the amount to be salvaged.

Chairman Moore has to step up and earn his huge bag of corn. Ex-army man has to lead from the front.

He has to cut costs drastically and quickly starting with the Board.

Stran and Richardson are almost certainly not the sort of people to manage a run-down. Besides, they have a vested interest in dragging out the process.

Sergeant? Is she needed any longer?

I still can't quite get my head around a 16.5p NAV ps of a few months ago having been whittled down to what? Suspect Richardson was not accurate with that figure.

Lots appear to have sold out today. Can't bring ourselves to sell at current levels. Might as well stay invested to see what happens.

Indeed, bought a few hundred thousand today for not much money. Maybe more tomorrow.

Truly sad that these people were let loose on what I considered to be a little gem of a company going places. Shame on them.
