21/7/2017 09:17 | This isn't enough, 8% above closing price. | johnv
21/7/2017 09:15 | Merchants Choice had revenues of 446mill and PBT of 18.4mill. So Joel is paying 25.54 PBT. PAYS pretax forecast to be 216mill GBP this year so 25.54 x 216 = 5517mill or 5.5 bill. I make it that Blackrocks bid is 5.5 - 2.9 bill = 2.6billion light. If Mr Supersmart Joel was buying his own company then the share price would be £11.19. If i was an insti investor I would be on the phone tout suite and the most used word shouted would begin wih a capital W. | ralphmalph
21/7/2017 09:14 | Im definetly holding on.. had this too long and far too low an offer... it would have hit 5.90 on the back of the takeover and update on the 8th | kiwidave
21/7/2017 09:09 | Holding on tight to mine. £5.90 not enough! | the juggler
21/7/2017 09:06 | IMHO a speculative bid to flush out true players.....interest If PA approves OLG in next 4 wks then price will go into orbit | wolfhound1
21/7/2017 09:05 | Direct action is called for - I'm going to put my sandwich board on and walk around the city to drum up a rival bid. | bruceylegs
21/7/2017 09:02 | Allowed them due diligence access? We're screwed. | uncle andy
21/7/2017 08:59 | Sold out today c.590p. | its the oxman
21/7/2017 08:52 | Yep, SCHs days are numbered. They actually need the scale so may not put up much of a fight. Not liquid though so bid will have to be well over £3 imo | trentendboy
21/7/2017 08:52 | A similar thing happened with Poundland takeover. I was forced to sell and lost £700. I'm not losing here but still very annoyed - this share price was set to soar | werewolfie
21/7/2017 08:49 | I bought into SCH yesterday on the drop, most probably be the next one to go on the cheap unfortunately | malcolmmm
21/7/2017 08:48 | Pbutterworth I got into Sch this morning with all my spare cash I think you could be right possibly the next one to get bid for dyor | 2bluelynn
21/7/2017 08:48 | Which way now ??? A bid for company for 590p a share from Blackstone and others ' Company bid for a new acquisition Merchants' Choice Payment Solutions for $470 million ' Both RNS on same day at same time | togglebrush
21/7/2017 08:46 | Indeed, WereWolfie, and the gutting thing is this not a bid by an actual payment company but by investors... | jim digriz
21/7/2017 08:46 | The largest shareholder in WPG. Well that would be Blackrock. Come on Joel the Blackrock boys going to be flush with cash from WPG so grow a pair. | ralphmalph
21/7/2017 08:45 | There is no way this will go through at 590. Not with only 34% top ten holders | pbutterworth1
21/7/2017 08:43 | Assuming if takeover goes through we will all be forced to sell at around £5.90? When the Paysafe share price could easily have hit £10 - £15 in the not so distant future? | werewolfie
21/7/2017 08:43 | Could this be revealing hidden value in Safecharge SCH ? | pbutterworth1
21/7/2017 08:40 | Can anyone say what is the mechanism by which PAYS rejected earlier bids and this is the first they have let fly? They haven't commented on the BOD's stance on a possible bid, to me means they won't come out publicly against it. It's just gutting to think we have each privately identified great value in the market and private equity is looking to come in and take it at a steal. Where is JL's $10BN valuation now? | polythene
21/7/2017 08:38 | The top ten institutions only own 34%. So the scratch your back club can not do this deal with a wink and a nod. The small PI may have the upper hand in rejecting this deal. | ralphmalph
21/7/2017 08:36 | Why on earth would anyone accept a 9 percent premium when PE bid premiums have averaged 40 percent in the past. | gerdmuller
21/7/2017 08:36 | Safe charge -sch is up nearly as much in percentage terms as Pays !! | 2bluelynn
21/7/2017 08:33 | tradertrev - think JL's ego will not let that happen, if he can possibly avoid it. | lomax99
21/7/2017 08:33 | The short argument dead since they have a buyer lined up for Asia merchant. Suspect old mutual liked idea muted at start of the year of selling the Asia merchant | eh9 |
