13/2/2017 09:31 | I wonder if the lack of a buyback on Friday indicates that this is the minimum level that they are thinking about for any equity fundraising for a bold acquisition? | maffs1
13/2/2017 09:15 | I wonder if Norge are above 3% because they have been buying shares in the market or the shares they loaned to the hedge funds have now been returned ? | nurdin
13/2/2017 09:10 | The fact that 400p+ is being sustained without buyback support is highly significant. I am not sure what shorters are praying for. If there were a counterbalancing party holding a larger number of shares which they had been enabled (by the shorting action) to acquire on the cheap there would be an arguable strategy, but no such thing is apparent. A number of such smaller (and therefore non-reporting) parties acting in common would, I assume, be illegal under concert party rules. | boadicea
13/2/2017 08:50 | will pause at some stage before next rise | longwell
13/2/2017 08:16 | No buyback on Friday by the looks of things and we still went up | pauliewonder
13/2/2017 07:50 | Buyback programme set to last for 12 months. So another 10.5 months to go.... See Norges Bank now above 3% Still large short positions to close. US set to accept on-line gambling for sure. The Yanks are pragmatists. People do it anyway and they lose the tax revenue. Just a matter of time, maybe just a few months before the inevitable. That break of 400p significant. Much more to come. | kuss1
13/2/2017 07:44 | domino effect in states once one goes, also would increase volumes to a point pays would most probably list over there, then re rating in line with sector. would be a big positive push for share price however I think events of next 5 months will dwarf this imho | longwell
13/2/2017 07:39 | might come off today and then I can buy em | opodio
13/2/2017 07:37 | Looks like they have paused the buy back programme | nurdin
12/2/2017 23:43 | Hi Juggler - lol - all joking aside though, I see Penn approval impacting on two levels: a) increased revenues and optimism that NY and possibly other states coming on board in 2017 b)re-rating for the gambling impact and move us up at least to a PE of 15-20 so double where we are now. I guess we might know more in 6-8 weeks...... GLA | wolfhound1
12/2/2017 21:51 | Good post mip55, thank you. Wolfhound1 I love your optimism. However I guess if it happens then £5:20 loads of profit-taking settle around £4.85 and then grow conservatively in the same direction as any profits/(god forbid losses). £8? I would settle for that by 2020. | the juggler
12/2/2017 20:55 | Thanks mips55 wider question - if Penn approves in March as suggested where do we see share price asa result - £7/8 ? | wolfhound1
12/2/2017 08:20 | Excerpts from casino.org 11 Feb.Pennsylvania's omnibus gambling reform bill finally made its appearance in the legislature on Thursday. The bill, HB 392, is sponsored by Representatives George Dunbar (R-56th), Rosita Youngblood (D-198th), and others, and seeks to take off where Representative John Payne (retired) left off.Payne's online gambling bill was attached to a wider gambling expansion package last year as there seems to be an appetite in the legislature to address all the state's gambling issues in one fell swoop.Accordingly, HB 329 is a 209-page whopper, covering everything from the regulation of daily fantasy sports and online gaming, to the authorization of slots at airports, and a fix for the state's casino rev share problems. It comes a day after the state's Democratic governor, Tom Wolf, unveiled his budget plan for the 2017-18 fiscal year, which factors in $150 million in extra gambling revenues, generated by a gambling expansion package that has yet to become law.Wolf isn't the only one who believes Pennsylvania will get it together this year. Senator Mario Scavello, chairman of the Senate Community, Economic and Recreational Development Committee, said last month he believed that the state would legalize online gambling sometime in March. | mip55
11/2/2017 15:12 | Better off buying MPO if you're playing that angle? | zcaprd7
10/2/2017 20:23 | Interestingly Fatprophets think China is doing well once again and tourism will boost the gaming market. Perhaps the Chinese will take PAYS out, hopefully at £7-£8 a share. Although less direct, others exposures we hold across the Managed Account Portfolios that are set to benefit from higher household incomes in China are the Macau gaming companies, Wynn Macau, Sands China and MGM China. Chinese outbound tourism will continue to swell over the next decade, and the shift of the gaming companies towards catering to the mass market positions them as likely beneficiaries. | malcolmmm
10/2/2017 19:36 | stockbob - a very sensible approach ....but every so often I do love to let it just rip, 50%+ just like Skrill acqn - roll on the 7th March ! : 0) GLA | wolfhound1
10/2/2017 16:54 | nice steady rise every few days is good . prefer that to sudden spikes and then drops GLA | stockbob
10/2/2017 11:04 | Chinese might take out SCH that is true but PAYS a bigger catch. SCH links to PTEC complicate matters | trentendboy

10/2/2017 08:55 | We know that ant is looking for a western digital wallet partner.....paysafe could go sky high | eh9
10/2/2017 08:38 | Nothing is a given, however surely weight will be given to an element of an anticipated re-rating for the 'right' deal, so the acquired will benefit from that in the paper element of the deal. | lomax99 |
