Buybacks from now may have an increasingly large effect as weak sellers keep getting taken out as the price rises.

Once willing sellers are gone the price will have to rise a lot to get the next sellers through the door.

Will accelerate if anything but they should keep it going.

When they make their BIG acquistion they may use paper so will need a high share price. Higher the price, more purchasing power.

I suspect the buyback algorithm has a bias to purchasing when there is selling pressure not tied to £4. Every up day the buyback volumes have been low.

Doubt it very much. They might be happy to not intervene for the moment on anything over £4. Important thing is that the momentum is up now with diminishing impetus from the buybacks.

Does today's buy-back report tend to indicate that there is a limitation of 400p to the price that can be paid under the BMO operating mandate?
If so, I think this cannot be raised in the close period.
We shall probably have some indication of the answer to that query by this evening or in Moday's report - or the absence of one!

Only 72k bought yesterday which momentum is truly up. What the shorters' strategy is is what I want to know next. Then hopefully March 7th boost without any further damage from shorters

That's what I've been waiting for! Broke & held through resistance so should be a nice ride up to 450ish unless we get any further short attacks, but even they will have minimal impact now. Enjoy the ride folks!
