Perhaps the few remaining shorters are waiting or hoping for a sell off in the DOW before closing their positions here

Thank you Sheep Herder, or may I call you Shepherd? Very useful.

A billion by any name is still a billion. I'm a natural born optimist. Otherwise I wouldn't be in this game.

One billion profit per annum, three million per day.
170,000 shares bought @ 380p = £600,000. Comfortable margin.

The thing is that in 27 days they have probably generated more than 5 million dollars free cash which covers all the money of the buyback

FANTASTIC STUFF GOING ON HERE

ROLL on 500p I say

As reported a few days ago, both companies buying back shares. Coincidence?

Payments services and technologies provider SafeCharge International Group Ltd (LON:SCH) has announced that it recently completed a £4.29 million (USD $5.4 million) share buyback.

On January 23, 2017, it purchased for treasury 2,200,000 ordinary shares at a price of 195 pence per share.

SafeCharge has not announced a formal share buyback program, so it remains to be seen if this is a one-off purchase, or if the company has a larger buyback program in mind.

SafeCharge has seen its share price stuck near 52 week lows despite recently reporting record Q4 Revenues as itsTier 1 customer list continues to grow.

SafeCharge competitor Paysafe Group Plc (LON:PAYS) has had some fairly good results recently following its announcement of a planned £100 million buyback program. To date, Paysafe has spent about £8 million.

I think that the funds own 34% of PAYS as it is, roll on the acquisition which could be a big one or perhaps a merger, I think it will be surprising or shocking if short.

Give JL some credit - nothing "bold" in acquiring SCH - it is just wishful thinking IMHO:
* 1/10 EBITDA of PAYS
* Revenues H2 were flat on H1 - so no growth
* Does not diversify risk of earnings stream away from gambling - it increases it
* Rather renowned majority share owner - possibly more of a liability
* PE ratio of 18 - so any acquisition would be v dilutive

My question is, where is the smart money, professional managers should be loading up at these levels with such a lowly PE but they aren't. Surely an acquisition just around the corner is not just being realised by PIs. Where are the IIs if this is such a bargain with all their DD. I can understand we can get anomalies with share price but that's more on AIM this is in the FTSE250 with a massive audience and plenty of broker coverage. Still on the sidelines here GLA anyway.
