I do hope the company isn't buying back shares in the 370-390 range only to then raise funds (sell shares) in the 330-350 range. I would rather the company just did what it is doing, raising profits and eps, pay a nice dividend and forget the acquisition. Share price would look after itself then.

Buybacks are a strange thing to do if a deal is coming. Now, if it is pays being taken over that is a different matter.Would have to be a fiver my guess to get it through

"Close to a deal" indicates the due diligence is done, terms are agreed, funding arrangements and under writers in place, now putting together the proforma numbers and need y/e audit sign-off of PAYS numbers to formally approve the whole thing. 5 weeks left and the docs are being finalised for signature.

The deal is coming, that's the company's objective and history.

In the meantime, lower digit organic growth for 2017. So at least 10% plus. Very few companies of this size can achieve that level of growth.

Share buybacks running at near 20 million per month. So that 100 million will be exhausted come the next AGM. Wonder why? Probably another 100 million for the programme.

You can't fight cash generation at this scale.

EBITDA = 300 million.

Debt almost gone.

Hang on..

yes that would be a silly thing to do, but analysts have been known to make mistakes before! DYOR, but that may explain the weakness if it was a big deal with a fund raise....let's see, all speculation, IMO the important thing is that all brokers are still upbeat about the prospects GLA

"Morgan Stanley note says paysafe is close to a deal"

This can only be speculation by the equity analyst as they would not be allowed to have any specific information regarding corporate M&A - if they did they certainly would not allude to this by putting it in writing in an equity research note.
