wolfhounds posts are always enjoyed by me on here, its great to get balanced views.
sp rise happens when more people buy than sell, article did damage. one bad review does more damage than 10 good reviews so we need the figures to convince others now.
I think the payments sector is going to be big for next 3 years imho

Nearly every share I have owned fluctuates (for those that don't vacillate!) by over 3o% in a year. And I own over PAYS 20k shares, though down from 40k, as I have invested in WATR and REDD since September. My comment (like this post n'est-ce pas?) is that emotion spent railing against those that choose a different investment strategy, whoever and for what ever reason, reduces the case for reading this board.

Finding this rise rather slow, was expecting it to climb slightly faster.

Good to see you posting again Wolf.
I thought you had gone on a long holiday.
What will be, will be. Spives seem to control the market. The tooth less FCA have done nothing at all abour Stot Light. Shame really. They bring a FTSE 250 Co. shares to fall by a post on the internet and nothing is done about it ??
Not long to wait for the TU.

Just a little snippet.
The Stock Market Almanac lists PAYS as being one of the strongest perfomers in January. Lets hope it right.

Perhaps an over-reaction, but what would anyone really expect when an anonymous shorters drivel takes the value of of a FTSE 250 company down by 35-40% in less than an hour? (as opposed to vacillations over a whole trading year!).

Usual for a share to vacillate - agreed - but to think the "thrash and crash" strategy is not market manipulation nor that under-hand tactics are used ( and I say this with no emotion whatsoever) is naive. Not you personally silverfern or anyone else specifically but collectively the requirement is to make sense of what is happening in terms of trading patterns and try to make sense or otherwise of it .... otherwise I am not sure why anyone posts to nor reads these boards...but each to their own - like a TV there is always the off button if it annoys.

...is typical of the time and hot air wasted on this thread taking any sale by a third party personally, leveraging ordinary short decisions to spy-movie hyperbol, and self-fuelling PI paranoia. Not you personally wolfhound or anyone else spcifically, but collectively the requirement when inveasting to detach emotion appears to be thrown overboard the moment the usual happens to a share price. And it is usual,. wther by shorters, or market trend (same thing), for a share to vacillate by 30% over a trading year.

Shorters - why you should not necessarily believe the reported shorts.

I keep asking myself this question ?

What might incentivise an unscruplious investment manager of an offshore unregulated fund not to close off the shorts in the fund at the low point of the stock after the "trash and crash" episode so as to maximise the gain to their investors ?.....Money - here is a hypothetical

Step 1 - In addition to your existing Fund A - short the stock create a second Fund B using only own capital and go long stock but keep below 3% disclosure threshold.

Step 2 - Do some partial closures in Fund A to make it look like you are closing slowly but wait for big news.....

Step 3 - Wait for the robust TU and then close the shorts in Fund A by selling across from Fund B and with any luck the share price will have risen by another 30% on the day further upping the profit in Fund B.

Fund B makes a complete killing and IM keeps 100% of the profits -v- 20% they would have earned on Fund A. Fund A might only make a 5-10% profit - just enough to keep investors sweet for future use.

The above whilst hypothetical...........

.... yep, always useful to drop that into the conversation when they're getting particularly pious. Then Oil & global warming when they wax on about their hydro-power (nationalized from many Brits I believe) and their treatment of the Sami peoples (Lap Land) when they go on about The British Empire. The Norwegian's are of course particularly proud of their Viking heritage - not a bit embarrassed by the rape, pillage and slavery!?!
