Debit cards issued through 3rd party banks in emerging markets are not profitable. Period. Digital wallets in emerging markets however are very profitable and 21st century. Speak with paysafe ir

momentum investor believes paysafe to be dirt cheap for no reason. They have similar view on PhotoMe (PHTM)

Only 4 trading days left until TU. Could this be a NAP tip in SCSW this weekend - as they thought it would be a star in 2017 in a previous issue ? Big rise on Monday if it is.

Why? Because I was considering buying some and did a bit of research to check reasons for the drop. I did see the shorting note from that USA hedge fund but I didn't think much of that. But the other announcement regarding debit card withdrawal did catch my eye. I'm long familiar with this company having a gaming background myself.

If their debit card programme was generating them money thru fees and atm withdrawals that will obviously not be so positive if they have been forced to reduce 100 countries!

'Might end in the shorting box if you keep this up?' - oh really? are only people who ramp welcome then? And yes I've learnt not to trust what directors say particularly to use common mortals!! I will research independently whatever they claim.

sum493 what exactly are you trying to imply? Might end in the shorting box if you keep this up. Why bring this up now? been known since Nov 2016.

Are you sure? I hardly believe what management would say. The fact is that they didn't exit from SEPA countries. I think the reasons might have been another although of course I don't really know. Possible reasons though:

say Mastercard frowning on the business?
or money-laundering concerns particularly if people like freelancers use the card to withdraw the funds without paying taxes?

Withdrawal of physical MasterCard in certain countries was to focus on digital wallets where the margin is much higher. Paying fees to third parties for physical mastercards makes no sense in tiny emerging markets and the move will boost profits in 2017. Speak to paysafe investor relations for further clarification.

lots of holders and hopefuls here. But hasn't Neteller and Skrill withdrawn their debit card from many countries last year and won't this impact their bottom line?

hxxp://www.onlinecasinoreports.com/articles/skrill--neteller-withdrawing-prepaid-mastercard-service-from-100-countries.php

I think this will not only affect gamblers but lots of freelancers in countries like India..etc who would normally withdraw their earnings to their debit card.

Companies buy their shares at highs...normal practice...I dont know why. Could that be the reason the shorters are holding and waiting ??

F1araway - Do not be fooled by the large number of orders, bid or offer, placed on the order book and executed as AT trades. (Most of them are probably computer loaded and may be randomised to help obscure the source of multiple orders.) They include the bids placed by BMO on behalf of PAYS which execute as sells.
The vast majority of 'AT' trades are by traders, institutions, etc. who have direct access to the market (dma) and excludes 99% of pi's whose trades will appear as 'O' or occasionally 'NT'.
Also note that the 'small' orders placed on the book very often (mostly?) execute in blocks with the same time-stamp. Group the trades by time-stamp to see the likely real size of the buy or sell by the off-book party.

Seem to remember that Kames were selling before the last big rise on results so their timing cant be relied on.

you answered your own question, its recovered from 3 big plunges in share price and always gone higher. you all need to be patient. its a solid company that will grow or be taken over and I have confidence we will see 6.00 either way by results next year.

I too like 2bluelynn am a bit fearful about what lies ahead despite all the positive cries including that from management. PAYS is by far and away my largest holding but I sense that there is something not quite right about the poor recovery in the share price post the latest malice. I tell myself that surely it should have performed better but there again the past few days have shown a massive number of small sells, (200 - 500) which is suggesting there's a lot of pi's sharing my lack of confidence. Having suffered three serious price plunges over the past four years, should the update not prove as tasty as I'd like, I'll be out in a flash.

There remains the possibility they will announce the acquisition of sage pay or similar deal next week or in the next few weeks......that would really knock any doubts squarely on the head
