16/8/2017 11:15 | MIP .. apologies you are right.. i reread the RNS from pays about backing the offer... | kiwidave
16/8/2017 11:15 | Thanks Mip55 - as I understand it they have 28 days from 4 Aug to send out initial docs or else file for an extension to that date... they may do the latter if ii's are not on board by 1st week of sept - which in itself will probably necessitate an increased offer - ii's will quite happily sit on their hands IMHO until proper offer if forthcoming... | wolfhound1
16/8/2017 11:14 | And .... in breaking news Worldpay is definitely going to be taking over Apple. Or Samsung. Or both. It will all be announced next Tuesday or maybe Wednesday and we know it's true because EH9's little friends on Twitter told him. That means he'll become enormously rich and he can sneer at PAYS shareholders in our rowing boats as he sips pink gin on board his super yacht. | mip55
16/8/2017 11:06 | Next stage is Offeror sends offer document to shareholders and person with information rights (Day zero in the Summary Offer Timetable)Day 14 is the latest date for target to send first defence document (!)Day 21 is earliest first closing date for acceptancesFirst Business Day after first closing date ( and all subsequent closing dates ...by 8am - Announcement of acceptance levels and ( if appropriate) extension of the offerThis goes on till Day 60 which ....unless extended....is the latest date by which announcements of acceptances can be made.Hope this helps | mip55
16/8/2017 10:51 | KiwiThey've made the formal offer and it's been recommended by the board | mip55
16/8/2017 10:49 | Or extend the deadline....... as we saw with worldpay several times | wolfhound1
16/8/2017 10:47 | According to the RNS they have to state on friday (18th) if they plan to make an offer or not.... | kiwidave
16/8/2017 09:44 | @oohrp - not possible as far as i know - due to large number of pi's (39%) this will have to go for a vote at general meeting - we as yet don't have a date for meeting as far as I know ? Lack of trading volume is a clue. Budco will not want to go into that meeting and get a no - they know their offer was a low ball one - now they will try and play cheap just like they did with the BOD - expect an improved offer well before meeting - the level of that is likely to be hammered out between budco and a few large ii's - the abscence of news tells me ii's are digging in for a much improved offer. Patience - GLA | wolfhound1
16/8/2017 09:31 | Eh9 - yntgoiamo | wolfhound1
16/8/2017 08:41 | Those switched to worldpay now have 660p! | eh9
16/8/2017 08:07 | I have a horrible feeling that come the end of the month we will just get a statement saying , all done & dusted with 80%+ in favour. Hope I'm wrong but complete lack of any news against this offer does not bode well!!! | oohrogerpalmer
16/8/2017 00:44 | Parience Bolstaf - it has been 3 weeks into what is likely to be a 3 month process...early days With only 12% support the deal will beed to be upped to attract the additional 64% .... A serious counter offer will wait until they know what level will be required to get 75% and then trump that and win...they probably wont show hand too early. But at a PE of 14 when the reat of the market is at 30....others will look at pays and say anything up to 25 is v good value | wolfhound1
15/8/2017 22:54 | I feel you may be correct Wolfhound But I dont have to like it!!! The one thing I'm not so confident is if another party is interested. What makes us any more appealing than Worldpay ??? there was no bidding war for them? If no competition then how much will these thieves manage to get it for? | bolstaf
15/8/2017 22:28 | The Jeanie is out of the bottle Bolstaf - PAYS is in play - and I suspect we will eventually be taken out - but for considerably more than 590p !! | wolfhound1
15/8/2017 18:50 | Without this bid but with the acquisition surely we would be around 6.50 now.Lets get this bid kicked out no more bids from elsewhere and get on as before. Job done ,next target 1000p.Easy !!!! | bolstaf
15/8/2017 17:39 | BA stands for Bank of America, just for clarity. | ralphmalph
15/8/2017 17:37 | exactly it is why Vantiv spiked after buying Wpay. Take some costs out and the profits will look even better. Vantiv's main competitors are First Data, Chase Paymentech and BA Merchant Services. Wonder if our Chairman has put a call in? | ralphmalph
15/8/2017 17:29 | Well on that PE, let alone the cheapskate offer MBO/CVC Budco are offering, we are immediately earnings enhancing....... (especially with the extra synergies on offer....) | lomax99
15/8/2017 17:24 | You would have tought Pays would have at least issued a press release. "Pays pleased to announce VP of Being Bought speaks fluent American, Freefone number installed" | ralphmalph
15/8/2017 17:20 | Because Vantiv is on a p/e ratio of 57. Yep get your calcs out or in your head times 5.90p x 4.07 | ralphmalph
15/8/2017 14:48 | Thanks for rubbing it in eh9 | filmster
15/8/2017 14:46 | Those that switched to worldpay on the Friday of the offer effectively have paysafe shares now worth 655p! | eh9
15/8/2017 14:44 | I know we're all hoping for another bid but that would surely be seen in high volumes as the potential bidder or a surrogate builds a stake before launching an offer? | jgoold
15/8/2017 14:28 | J L saw a $10bn cap, just forgot to mention Blackstone in that context. | high park |
