Has any large shareholder other than Old Mutual come out in support of the bid?

During an offer period they have to regularly ensure the number of shares in issue is kept fully advised so that companies can correctly complete their share notifications and percentage holdings.

There is an article in today's FT which focuses on the digital gaming sector:

'But groups such as Paddy Power Betfair have already been slowly building up their US operations, ready to capitalise if gambling bans are lifted and are prepared to take advantage of enormous pent-up demand. The American Gaming Association, a trade group, estimates the US punters place up to $150bn annually with illegal bookmakers with offshore accounts.

Mr Cocoran says "An ever-growing number of parties or possible American partners are finding their way to our door, to talk about what might happen next in the US. We have the right to be in the frame'.

As do PAYS, Neteller was one of the main payment operators last time round, and according to JL, still has a loyal following.

Dose anyone think we will only get an offer of 590 and no support for it? That would certainly be the best outcome IMO as I truly believe we have huge growth potential with things left as they are . If thats not to be then a successful bid from a competitor with shares attached I could live with

I think we will see increased bidco price first (given silence from vast swaith of ii's ) and soon after a bid from competitor.

who are MI?

MI has it's largest holding in PAYS, they think that given an implied PE exit of just 14 and it's strategic value to larger rivals, they think there could be a counter bid and are staying put.

CS are one of top 4 Prime Brokers globally and these will have been purchases for those clients. Those clients expect an increased Bid IMHO

BidCo would need to declare once over 1% and all holding changes thereafter - at present I believe that is zero - this is a conditional offer not a hostile takeover so if they can't succeed they will want to walk away clean

So if Credit Suisse bought 4.3 million shares yesterday and then sold most of them to Whoever ? can someone tell me at what point bidco would have to declare the % they already hold ??? or are steadily collecting , sorry but dont know any of the rules and regs .someone said on here before that it would take a while to get a substantial holding but 4 or 5 million a day adds up .
