Rc turner / Nurdin....figure used by the FT on announcement of the formal bid :The valuation represents 14 times earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation.

Well I do still hold some PAYS ,first bought in at 128.50p on 35/01/2013 so I think it has been a terrific success story here and my congratulations to all the directors they imo deserve the rewards they will receive from the buy out.

Thanks MALCOLMMM. And then there is the funny old share RENE. Anyway, I can hardly believe it but I've just sold the last of my PAYS shares. Good luck to all who are hoping for a better offer.

PI's are all entitled to their own views on whether to sell up or hold in the prospect of a rival bidder emerging and trumping Bidco's low offer. But.....since this remains a PAYS discussion board .....I find it a little galling for those who have sold out to be encouraging others still invested to sell up and look at investing in this or that company. There are plenty of other boards on ADVFN or perhaps you could start an 'Ex PAYS' board between you and leave we remainers to discuss PAYS please?

I too dont know where this figure of 14x for the PE is coming from .According to Stockopedia, the stock is trading at 16.8x current years forecast earnings which drops to 15.1x for 2018.

OK Wolfhound you have got me there, this is to cheap and I wouldn't forgive myself by getting out now and another sensible offer coming in . And of course they do need 75% to get this theft though.

Worldpay and Vantiv deal will be concluded this week it seems - Jansen is staying on as CEO - he sounds like he wants to compete with PAYPAL and they are v keen on expanding aggressively through Acqn - who knows maybe they might just look at PAYS and think it is too good to pass up !! They certainly wouldn't need to keep the existing BOD or senior management - lots of synergies to be had from such a tie up and would be a nice sized first deal for the enlarged group !!

Would be a real opening statement of intent by the new CEO

If a rival bidder emerges, this will end up somewhat higher than £6.50....

I don't like 590p but I would accept 650p. Then I think that that is only 10% higher. Do I wait for a possible extra 10%? It depends if I think there is an investment opportunity elsewhere now which I will miss out on if I wait. There are some temptations out there.

I sold most but retain a small holding as am not prepared to tie up a lot of money on what I think is a done deal.Could well be wrong but am not prepared to wait for months to see what happens here.

Notice the absence of any comment from JL ? imagine he's sucking up to the ii's as we speak . Come on the ii's this is worth so much more and I'm sure you know a few good CEO's

There was plenty of speculation that BOD would capitulate on H1 results due to agreeing to bidco - so they haven't disappointed.

Buried deep in the text is one line reference to link up with Google - almost as if JL & Co know there is another bidder out there so are playing cagey..... well at 590p there is no downside to just waiting to see who else emerges from the undergrowth in the next 6-8 weeks IMHO

As has been pointed out we are buying a US business for PE of 25 and being sold ourselves for PE 14 - there is just too much value to be had there for a rival bidder to pass up - it wouldn't do to let bidco pull down the multiples in the market

Strong results, a total rip off that we get taken out at such a low PEVery poor. This was a long term hold that would have started playing dividends

I sold about a third of my holdng this a.m. Holding the rest for the time being but the direction of travel did become a little clearer today , unfortunately! Not sure where the cash is going yet but it's always good to have some spare which hasn't been the case for the last few months.

I think they are really trying to spin this by making this year sound as negative as possible...."12% organic constant currency revenue growth in H1 2017 (11% statutory revenue growth), representing a return to low double-digit growth compared with the exceptional performance seen in 2016"Question is why? 12% growth it nothing to be sniffed at, and as any company grows you would expect the growth the start to slow at some point.

I'll wait a few more days but will probably reduce my holding here and add more Burford capital (This years fevertree )I was impressed with JL during the short attack but this has left a sour taste and I only hope that someone else dose come in and give us a new BOD .
