No I have only ever bought cakes to take out. However, it is a little worrying supplying plastic cutlery and plates for what is meant to be an up market experience. Hopefully they will rake on board your feedback.

Called in at PV on Oxford St Manchester yesterday and was not very impressed. Plastic cutlery to eat a custard slice? Difficult! Plate was also plastic and cup cardboard. Service was pleasant and cakes were very good but served in an ambience that would have been better suited to a simple cafe. It seems to me that the product is being let down by very poor presentation.
Anyone else got any comments about this?

Cake and bun chain Patisserie Valerie expands profits by 27%

Patisserie Valerie, purveyor of cakes and buns to sweet-toothed Britons, saw a 26.8 per cent increase in full-year profits as it announced plans to open 20 more stores.
Shares in the firm rose 0.88p to 198.88p after it said online sales had increased 100 per cent to £2.6m and planned to offer afternoon tea at £12.95 across all its 148 stores.
Pre-tax profit rose to £10.4m for the 12 months to September 30 from £8.2m on sales of £76.6m.

It opened 19 new stores over the year, including its first outlet in Wales and its first motorway service station in Beaconsfield.
Executive chairman Luke Johnson – known for his involvement in Pizza Express – said that trading in the first six weeks of the year had also been good.
‘With five... brands we are well placed across the fragmented UK coffee shop and casual dining markets, where we believe there is significant potential for growth,’ he said.
‘Our strategy to roll-out new stores is on track and delivering returns in line with our expectations.

Interims soon - YUMMY!!!
