One of the small things in Life in general that I have learned, is that any liar needs an extremely good memory.

The thing you need to look at is forward looking statement, what’s happened is gone, going forward 13m revenue and getting back into profit, markets look ahead, today the panic is in at the past tomorrow is what matters, imho today is the moment to pounce all imho dyor
csmwssk12hu - 27 Feb 2019 - 11:44:59 - 120 of 255 Paragon Entertainment - PEL

In that case will they go straight to a bid?
csmwssk12hu - 27 Feb 2019 - 10:54:41 - 117 of 255 Paragon Entertainment - PEL

Can we just keep to PEL facts, situation is Luckland have picked up another 2.5% stake to get to 5.5% shares have gone from being down to up, what is Luckland intentions here, are they building stake before a bid?
csmwssk12hu - 27 Feb 2019 - 10:16:21 - 113 of 255 Paragon Entertainment - PEL

I wonder if luckland have purchased more since holding announced, we have had two days of heavy volume here and today looks like the third

Itâ€T82;s itching to go up, this wonâ€482;t get spotted till itâ€T82;s on the top 10 biggest risers as the RNS was out at a strange time 9.06, most watch the 7am RNS, wonâ€482;t take much volume to get going from all time lows imho dyor
csmwssk12hu - 27 Feb 2019 - 09:35:03 - 108 of 255 Paragon Entertainment - PEL

For this money to get hands on 12-15m revenue businesses is a no brainier, get the pricing right net margins to 10-20% and you get your money back in a year, just needs right person to run it and a takeover is exactly what it is crying out for imho dyor
csmwssk12hu - 27 Feb 2019 - 09:20:48 - 11800 of 12103 Interserve - Awaiting A Recovery - IRV

Always been strange here to me, check out this small one called Paragon PEL just put out RNS another company in same sector just increased stake in it to 5.5%, share at all time low tiny mcap could be beginning of take over dyor imho
csmwssk12hu - 18 Dec 2018 - 20:55:04 - 2465 of 2474 Paragon Entertainment - PEL

I read the above and think your missing something here, market cap 2.5m, for what itâ€T82;s doing is too cheap, so from reading into it the worst news should now be behind it, one sale of £750 made this drop 10% today, I think this could move the other way quite quickly, if this turns round and makes £1m a year it could easily quadruple, that’s a good enough reason for me to look at this tomorrow, btw last time I was slated by PJ and co on here the price rose from under 2p to nearer 6p, this time its starting from a lower base, the type of business itâ€T82;s in is cyclical, you just have to be ahead of the curve all imho dyor gla!
csmwssk12hu - 22 Aug 2018 - 07:57:55 - 2428 of 2474 Paragon Entertainment - PEL

Interesting, one of my best investments ever, back in the doldrums, awful results but very positive looking forward, will the market see it this way or will I be buying on the cheap again, falls to the lower 1p area will buy as all been well the worst is now behind and should rise in coming months imho dyor

That's the beauty of this market, as soon as they rise 20-30% the herd come along and push it up another 20-30% and you can get out with a safe 100% profit or at least top slice some

It’s up as there is a buy order, the price willing to be paid has risen hence the price rise to draw out a seller

I note it appears PEL is up over 15% in 2 days, and not one trade has yet been posted.

This Market Maker and NOMAD system really isn't fit for purpose.

He must be a very tough cookie if he has run an Haven site!!

I remember well taking the kids to the one in North Wales about 17 years ago or more.

It reminded me very much of being a Forest fan stuck in the Liverpool Kop end in the 80's.

Began as a Lifeguard with Centre Parcs and ran a Haven holiday site between two spells with Majid, so definitely no manufacturing experience but it’s a good strategy man they need so he may have some promise but its always going to be the chemistry with MP that determines the length & success of his tenure.

The appointment looks quite some catch on paper. Unsure if there is anything to read into his managing of previous Visitor Attractions? I cannot see that he has any direct Manufacturing experience, but must have serious contacts within the sector. It certainly looks as if he is very experienced in managing growth.

He must have been on quite some whack of remuneration in the past, so I would expect he's on much lower at PEL, with his award probably in options for performance, as fft says, hopefully tied in to shareholder returns (KISS).

So, what will he bring to the Party and what will he change?

Interesting appointment as CEO. At least he has experience in managing a lot of people in different areas and big budgets. 1100 people and 185m. Hopefully he doesn't just get a load of nil paid options and actually spends some of his own money....

Need a 111, one for one rights issue at 1p with majority shareholders backing it, that would provide up to £2m, That clears the debt and gives plenty of cash for going forward, it would also give the impetus for the shares to soar and would be self funding as I could see them move swiftly to 3p all imho dyor

I'd hazard a guess that cash flow is still extremely tight and is the main focus of the Accounts dept, which often necessitates numerous cash flow forecasts having to be produced to keep the Bankers on side, all in the knowledge that each one is obsolete as soon as it is issued. This then results in more mundane tasks such as change of address, updating of details etc. etc. (if indeed that was the cause) being missed.

Hopefully, if the H1 forecasts of a return to net profit are on target then 2019 free cash flow should be landing now to reduce the pressure. However, we still await developments with regard to general funding in the future. As stated in the update on 22nd February.

''the Board is of the view that an on-demand overdraft facility is a sub-optimal financing structure for a business like Paragon and are accordingly looking closely at ways of bringing longer term capital into the business.''

From my experience of running my own small Business, it's amazing how supportive Bankers are when you are making a (net) Profit and you do not actually need them. However, when times are tough, and you actually need help, they become automatically much less supportive.

If PEL hadn't provided HMRC with the new registered address (as per playful) then it isn't HMRC fault.Neil, when I talked to him last Friday, did say there would be an internal investigation. That would explain why ! Someone (company secretary ? Accts ?) has really dropped the ball.
