thesloth - well as I mentioned above, if the case gets underway you can join it at no cost. You might perhaps get some back - better than nothing?

Jack, this is the best way, nothing (material) hidden. We are embarking upon a crusade to reimburse us from a situation caused by dishonesty. Therefore it is of utmost importance that we are as open as it is possible to be during these dealings.

Good Luck CS. I wish you well. I have a loss about £3K and so will just write it off as it is in a Trading A/C rather than SIPP or ISA. If the loss was more then I would be with you. Cheers.

Beeks - well the guy has already seen the SFO letter, and thinks it establishes a good prima facie case. Of course he *would* say that; which is why I mailed the lawyers last week:

"Thank you for your email, Ian.

Peter is co-ordinating a number of potential multi-party actions regarding investments in AIM companies and approached us (as a law firm) to assess the legal merits and financial feasibility of pursuing those claims, and to potentially assist with arranging funding to pursue them..."

In any case, split 10 ways his fee isn't much. He gets most of his gravy out of that 30%, so it's in his own interests not to waste time on claims he doesn't think will go anywhere...

No, the non-prefs won't have to put anything up. The prefs get a slightly better deal because they're stumping up the money to get the ball rolling and take the risk of losing that money if no action occurs or it comes to nothing.

and no, no FB group or anything like that - once we have the 10 and hand it over to the co-ordinator he will communicate with all participants by regular email. At least that's what he says, and I have no reason to disbelieve him. I met him last night for a coffee (actually green tea in my case), and he seems to know his stuff...

We need (a max of) 10 people to contribute to get the action rolling - they will be 'preferential shareholders' and in return for their contribution to get the ball rolling will receive a slightly preferential deal if the case succeeds; we have 6 and I'm confident we can get the 4 others by the weekend. Then others can come on board on a non-preferential basis for a slightly reduced share of any payout if the case succeeds. The target is to reach at least £1m of losses: so far we're up to £634k with avenues still unexplored.

But anyone who mails me and doesn't even bother telling me his real name but signs himself 'cyber' is really not someone I can be bothered dealing with.

Almost everyone is welcome to join, but there are a few exceptions. Vince is another: I've invited him to join on several occasions but he's always preferred to stick with Manduca. Well now he doesn't have a choice: he's made his bed with Manduca and as far as I'm concerned he can lie in it.

Club - surely you need as many people as you can get to increase the targeted loss and minimize the amount each person has to put in. By turning people down, you would seem to be doing yourself, and the other class-actioners a dis-service. Come on, where's the new rational/clear-thinking/unemotional Clubster gone?

Clubbie, I've been in other shares with Cyber, he's an OK guy?I don't remember anything too vitriolic from him, it's not his usual way?

sorry cyber - you don't get to filter me, slag me off, then piggy-back off my efforts as soon as you sniff a chance of getting some money back.

In most cases I'm happy to let bygones be bygones, but there are exceptions.

If you've been in touch with me and have agreed in principle to being part of the class action, check your email.

Yes... you must.Things are gathering pace behind the scenes.2 things Clubbie is guilty of,1, falling for Manduca's lies and waiting too long to smell a rat.2, swearing a lot when he realised he'd been conned. Both are forgivable compared to Manduca's sins. His work since then is exemplary and powerful.
