You just dont get it do you, this is proof of concept well that commercial oil can be extracted from alkaid, when they develop alkaid the laterals will be longer.Its all about proving to potential farm in partners.Over 2bn barrels recoverable in all the acreages is huge.Panr and great bear have spent over 300m dolllars getting to where they are.Flow test will commence soon. I think we should start moving back up again..

Just for you Arcadian!This was a necessary step in being able to properly test and assess Alkaid. It's not sufficient but it was necessary and at least we can press ahead with the next steps after some rather disconcerting issues, now apparently rectified. The chances of getting early cashflow to allow for a full appraisal of the monster that is Theta West are certainly higher now - without having to rely too much on external financing. Even if there is to be a major farm-out, success at Alkaid puts the company into a far stronger negotiating position.I would think that this well needs to be finished by the end of winter despite the field's beneficial position for year round operations. So I am hoping that the testing can go smoothly from this point on.I feel relieved that we have reached this point and am more optimistic about a short term boost than I was 24 hours ago!

The answer is simply thou which makes it a stupid question Jak didn't close his short because a) he's not psysic and 2) he sees' more downside than upside
