On reading the RNS just after 7am on Thursday my impression was that there will be no more testing this season. Other industry posters on here & social media have since suggested that if the well was closed in for the storm, with large amounts of frack fluid in the well then it is likely blocked (same as at Talitha). Personal view for me now is the same as Thursday morning... there will be no more testing this winter season. Next events will be the Webinar then Alkaid 2H drill and production testLooking forward to the Webinar to see what information has been gleaned from the winter operations, in particular the SFS as there's so little been shared on this prospect as yet

PRO. Part of what you write I actually agree with , not all . The market ie buyers and sellers dictate and nothing else ultimately. On a separate note , their broker gave a statement that activities will cease for this season , which was a different statement to the RNS , this really doesn’t help . So if activity recommences then the market should be informed. There is possibly another 4 weeks weather permitting to maximise the opportunity this season . All a bit of a PR horror show on multiple fronts sadly

The various negative posters are helpful in that they raise questions that any prudent investors should be asking themselves anyway. If you find it easy to dismiss the points raised, or can determine that they are based on false premises, then you will feel more comfortable with your investment.
I remain heavily invested, and comfortable with that.

Why are you posting here non stop with your verbal diarrhoea. I thought you sold out and took your handsome profits. Just trying to be “helpful”; to everyone else I guess

I wouldn't be surprised if they were currently in preliminary talks with a major- it stands to reason that if a 10 digit farm-in was on the table late last year then it's very likely that the major is even more interested now that 1.2 million barrels has been confirmed!

No chance of a bid imo.

As I already posted, I think they will shut down operations and move on.

No more testing at Talitha or Theta West.

Many questions need to be answered that will likely be glossed over at a Webinar.

If you need a Webinar to explain your drillind and testing results.........then your results are not very good.

Simple as that.

They will have to follow up with a new Theta West 2 with a horizontal and prove prodcution next Winter, before any real value or interest in Theta West imo.

Alaska is full of oil.......most is not recoverable economically or it has a very low ROI.

That is why PRO exited. He is a short term trader, nothing more. He is happy to take the relatively low risk/low reward trades even if the means he misses out on large rises. It is a way to trade, especially you are not able to recover from losses (and he was hurt badly by txp last year) but I have made significant gains by buying and holding (mostly) great risk/reward plays. We know how good this season has been because even (recently sold but wants to buy back lower) PRO can't make a case for sub 100p, even with the bond! Balance your portfolio but don't give away your winners...

I look forward to the webinar , there are a number of questions needing to be answered.
The muted share price actually happened from the moment their nomad/broker released their update note to the market. The note itself was muted / negative. No change in price target and remaining as a speculative buy was only part of what stood out after a seasons high cost analysis over theta and theta west. Certain decisions on-site by our directors also left more questions than answers . I’m hoping that a major can see through all of the unanswered and come in with a bid , even a low ball , as that will give more confidence than currently exists .

Talitha distal location: 73 bopd average over a 3 day test, sustained 40 bopd on final day.

TW optimal location: 57 bopd average, with peak >100 bopd across 2.5 days, averaging 59 bopd on final day.

Major questions to be answered. Maybe they have those answers, and maybe they will be revealed at the webinar, but this is precisely why the market showed a muted response to the news.

Talitha exceeded my expectations, but with public information to hand, TW has not.

Yes John, I know you have ruled Kuparuk out given your extensive knowledge of oil wet reservoirs.

Yep the Kuparuk. So good that a year on and there are still no plans to go back to it. A few months ago most of you still thought it was going to feature in this years drilling.

Let’s see what they come up with for the webinar and hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

So the guys with all the data are making 'baseless upgrades' and you are taking what they say with a 'pinch of salt. Yet here you are with almost no data rebutting their claims and drawing your own technical conclusions. Can you see the problem I am having here? The Kuparuk upgrades I believe were based on the excellent log data, after this they discovered it was oil wet. Perhaps we should wait for the webinar.

Investors should set their own expectations (and be guided by what management have indicated previously) and then make their own mind up rather than rely on statements of management. Look at the news on any day and you’ll see management hailing results that underperform what the market or investors expect. No management is going to come out and say “it’s a good result overall but unfortunately fell way below our expectations”.

Like I said previously, the outcome for this drill season is not bad at all - the share price rose from 78p to 140p-ish and now back to 128p, so I wouldn’t argue with anybody claiming we exceeded market expectations. But I don’t recall a single person on here who posted a positive expectation for this drill season that has already been exceeded.

The result to date is good enough for me to (currently) hold onto approx 60% of my original shareholding, but not good enough for me to hold the lot.
