If you put cranberries on your Thanksgiving turkey today, there’s a chance they came from these bogs in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA. Cranberries are a Native American wetland fruit that are grown on low-lying vines, floating in beds of water layered with sand, peat, gravel, and clay. Coincidentally, the town of Plymouth is also the site of the colony founded by the Pilgrims in 1620 and was the home to the first Thanksgiving feast in 1621. Happy Thanksgiving from Daily Overview!

An incredible hydraulic system in Peru 🇵🇪

The puquios or "water sources" in patios, ancient underground aqueduct systems from the pre-colombian era located in Nazca, Peru.

These spiral wells are designed to pick up the region's winds to bring water back from the prairie wells when they drown underground.

By the force of the wind, the water trapped by the spiral, provokes a current.

Of the 36 discovered puquios, most of them are still functional. Underground canals built between 400-600 ap-JC to capture groundwater and transport them to the surface for field irrigation. Les Nazcas, a people of farmers with colossal knowledge in geology and engineering force admiration.

Check out this nighttime photo of Central Park in New York City. Located in the middle of Manhattan, the park spans 843 acres — or 6% of the borough. One of the most influential innovations in the park's design was its "separate circulation" systems for pedestrians, horseback riders, and automobiles.

Located just across the Golden Gate Strait from San Francisco, Sausalito is a town of roughly 7,000 residents with a picturesque location that inspired “Sittin’ On The Dock of the Bay,” by Otis Redding—a song he wrote while he staying on a houseboat here in 1967.
