They couldn't find anything to buy in their industry so they thought 'what else can we buy ?' There should be a clear comparison drawn between the value available in buying back their own shares on a very reasonable rating and acquiring something else All that being said , the criteria for acquisitions 3-9m in revenue , IP rich , cash flow positive is a good pond to fish in where the likes of Judges have been very successful escaping competition with private equity .
