19/9/2023 11:10 | Pretty sure 65 million is too much for them to deploy an acquisition, if they end up making a cheap tender offer for 25% of the shares at 100p that would be a great way to make the most of a low share price | nchanning
19/9/2023 10:01 | I would find it hard to believe it would fall below 91/92p | johndoe23
19/9/2023 09:57 | Performing well or not there's pretty much a seller in every AIM stock right now with so much money flowing out of UK small caps every month , so I don't think this is the time to be spooked by share price falls | nchanning
19/9/2023 09:41 | I wouldn't disagree with that assessment. Large seller will drag this down though until any good news announced. 50k sell order has repeatedly been on book. Can buy 10k at 95.4 | johndoe23
19/9/2023 09:30 | Buying more this morning , the fall has been on tiny volume . The 66m cash pile is a rock solid floor which means it will be very hard to lose money from here imho . In a better market a fast growing high gross margin business like this could easily trade on 20-30x earnings, then add the cash pile and should be looking at a share price between 150-200p | nchanning
19/9/2023 08:14 | Trading update soon, need to do something with this cash pile! | johndoe23
19/9/2023 07:35 | Chart heading downhill, can't see any improvements until they do something | lennonsalive
01/9/2023 12:54 | Can buy at 10k at 97p this is dropping | johndoe23
25/8/2023 08:32 | I guess the writers strike could affect a small portion of revenue, but that's surely just a temporary thing that shouldn't really have any effect on the long term value of the company | nchanning
24/8/2023 12:14 | Doesn't look it like unfortunately | johndoe23
16/8/2023 10:14 | Seller still here unfortunately | johndoe23
14/8/2023 07:30 | Chart looks lovely for a bounce from here | harrywilliam
14/8/2023 07:22 | Hopefully those large trades last week are the seller exiting. Can only hope anyway | johndoe23
14/8/2023 07:21 | Jumped in this morning on the rise | gswredland
14/8/2023 07:18 | Tipped somewhere, or folk just excited about your link John? Nice to see, either way. G. | garth

10/8/2023 18:00 | Frankly the share has gone south after the announcement of the imminent departure of M. Bolton. He is a significant shareholder and also has a substantial option position. After a share sale in February he still had 2.5mn or 1.9% in shares and it looks to me as if he has another 2mn or so options (I think at 25p but not quite clear). These need to be cleared or a statement of intent made. He is of course still at the company as CEO in a transition. Basically I think this is a good thing. He and the new CEO need to be thinking hard and long about how to deploy their £60mn cash and deposits. This is a specialised market and not a very big one and they already seem to have a substantial market share. This may be deterring some institutions from becoming shareholders. So will they diversify into an adjacent business via an acquisition? This seems to be the idea for sure but it is a crucial decision for them and us. If they can get a decent RoI from an acqusition it would transform the P&L but the cultures and technologies would surely have to mesh. On the bright side it is really unusual for a UK tech firm to have this much cash against their market cap. But we need some clarity on the Bolton shareholding and a good decision on how to use the cash. | srichardson8
10/8/2023 14:48 | Can't believe all these sells | gswredland
10/8/2023 09:35 | To produce 3.5p this year would imply only 1p being achieved in H2. With the company seemingly trading strongly, this would seem very unlikely. Maybe the brokers are being ultra conservative in order to set up a large beat. I never pay too much attention to what they say anyway | johndoe23
10/8/2023 04:16 | 6th June 2023 Adjusted* Basic Earnings per Share 2.64p Considering the current order book, the expected rise in the cost base and with supply chain challenges diminished, the Board believes that Oxford Metrics is well placed to deliver full year results ahead of current market expectations. 3rd August - forecast FY23 eps 3.523p FY24 4.163p 10th August - forecast FY23 eps 3.235p FY24 3.895p i.e. reduction in forecast of 8.2% for FY23 and 6.5% for FY24 what is going on here? Slipping out a profit warning reduction through the brokers while claiming they will be ahead of forecasts | mammyoko
09/8/2023 12:15 | Plus interest on all this cash! Should be able to get 3m on that per annum | privileged
03/8/2023 12:14 | Disappointing drift here, surely the board could have used some of that cash pile by now?! Acquisition, special divi... | johndoe23
28/7/2023 08:34 | If I had to guess it's too much cash for a bolt on acquisition in the same industry . They probably acquire something for £20 million , then return £20-30 million in a tender offer at small premium , then hold onto a little cash | nchanning
28/7/2023 06:36 | The buyer accumulates, then the seller takes advantage of any rise then sells. Cash pile needs to be put to good use here. | johndoe23
18/7/2023 12:31 | Wouldn't have liked it if he moved to a similar tech company but CEO of Ordnance Survey is quite a prestigious job to be offered , perhaps a path to a knighthood etc . Couldn't be a better succession plan , with the successful CEO of the operating business already in place . | nchanning |
