Last accounts under assets held for sale.

If you look back you will see that amount has changed on each accounting date to reflect the then share price.

thanks woodfire.....I have looked everywhere for confirmation of the major shareholders of Polymetal and can find nothing new so I am assume you are right and they still own the shares?
This would be very good news if this is the case .
I was guilty of not looking properly and assuming it was a cash deal instead it was clearly shares back when they did the deal.
Have you any recent info confirming they still own Polymetal shares?

imo

Add the POLY shares , and cash up .!!!

Then look at today's market cap.

Thats without any value for the mining area order the cash due from the court.!

Market cap under £5M

Has 100% gold mining licence in Russia ( where the currency has halved and oil is down 75%) valued at ZERO but worth millions.

Has bags of cash.

Has shares in polymetal worth MORE than in the last accounts.

Has $5M due from the courts as well.

Look at ADVFN financials ( last accounts) then ADD ON SOME MORE AS THE SHARES THEY OWN IN A BILLION POUND COMPANY HAVE JUST HIT A NEW HIGH.!!

Their website is worth a visit and explains the history of the firm to date.

Hey all newbie, just starting to look into this co. Looking at their interim FS, can't make out much, couldn't even see if they are a producer as there seems to be no op income?

guessing that the company are buying back today hence the price rise.
makes sense, investors are dumping shares at a big discount to the cash backing and the company are picking them back up again.

Priced at a discount to cash means their Russian gold projects are valued at nil

Feels like they paid a lot for them. Initial $7.5m to the vendors and contractor,
$10m to the Russian directors. The further $3 million paid out to them last year
AFTER work was suspended, and which didn't become payable until production start
was the icing on the cake.

The announcement to look at oil and gas projects in Russia, cynics might suggest
is the Board's chosen method to extract the remaining cash balance.

What is the value per share of the cash assets and the amounts recoverable?

I suspect we may start seeing further buy back transactions now they have started.

That was a big chunk to buy-in all in the one transaction 5.8M (over 6.5%), at a good price for existing shareholders.

Wonder who got the other 1M shares and why they didn't snap that up to?
