06/3/2013 13:41 | So 2 shareholders see that the share price does not represent the value of cash and investments.... if only they could take control of the company they would not have to sell their shares to realise a profit, just extract the assets / cash out of it I mean as owners why not? Too late some already thought of that and are doing a very good job thank you. Hence minority stakes may become worthless. | fenners66

09/1/2013 14:54 | "no brainer" If you say so richgit;-) | milste1
21/12/2012 09:45 | rickey No not confused..... I was merely highlighting that Was & Paul have taken that stake. 2 well known Investors, and they are known for identifying undervalued situations. Of course a potential (again) of far more cash than the whole Market Cap does look rather tempting Those punters that think they are shrewder than Was & Paul may not agree that it looks a bit of a "no brainer" | richgit
20/12/2012 23:23 | Richgit I think u are a bit confused. They have sold their shareholding to a new shareholder Waseem Shakoor. I believe his intention is to take his stake to 10%. | rickeyy
20/12/2012 22:44 | Two well known investors in today`s announcement,so what have the naysayers got to say about that ? Note. 7 June2011 Ovoca Gold Plc ("Ovoca" or the "Company") Holding(s) in Company On 3 June 2011 Ovoca was informed by GLG Partners LP that is has acquired 4,807,100 ordinary shares of EUR0.125 each ("Ordinary Shares") of the Company. Following this acquisition, GLG Partners LP's interest in the Company is 4,807,100 ordinary shares, or 5.44% of Ovoca's issued share capital. | richgit
13/12/2012 10:20 | Obviously the exit of the Tim Mc doesn't help sentiment when followed by him dumping his shares. I don't know whether that was a fit of pique or simply a decision to move on completely but when coupled to the fact the company is Russian in all but the listings there is plenty of scope for potential investors to leave it well alone. Olcha was only 2.5 sq. km of a huge licence so if theres anything left in the rump its pretty much pure profit given the costs of acquisition. Unfortunately those acquisitions were basically the BoD backing their own vehicles into OVG and pocketing a reasonable fraction of the cash in the company at the same time. That sort of thing doesn't lend huge confidence either. The discount to cash and liquid assets might start to reduce once production starts to loom on the horizon, but even that depends on the appetite the BoD have for actually running a production operation rather than selling off (to Polymetal most likely) before that point. Unquestionably there is potential for a multibagger here but it might take a bit more de-risking before the upswing begins and recruiting another Western-friendly and facing CEO might be a good start. I wonder how the investors that bought off-market at 40p to avoid an share price spike are feeling now? | yellow_snow |
