03/1/2017 07:38 | A vert smart move. A bigger slice of future profits from THWLC which we know is already profitable. Retail listings in over 80 stores is impressive at this early stage. The success so far has been achieved without any marketing. I can see this being much bigger than anyone initially anticipated, especially once listed in major retail outlets, both here and overseas. | ![]() parob
03/1/2017 07:38 | Maybe JJ but the RNS is mainly highlighting just how much progress GoFigure and Slimbiome (R) has made. I had no idea the reach and grown so rapidly. Surprised me. | ![]() john henry

03/1/2017 07:07 | 03 January 2017 OptiBiotix Health plc ("OptiBiotix" or the "Company") Increased investment in The Healthy Weight Loss Company Ltd OptiBiotix Health plc (AIM: OPTI), a life sciences business developing compounds to tackle obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes and skin care, announces an increase in its investment in its majority owned subsidiary The Health Weight Loss Company Limited ("THWLC"). Under the terms of the agreement OptiBiotix has made an investment of GBP75,000 to provide working capital to support marketing and an increase in stock levels. This investment increases OptiBiotix's shareholding in THWLC to 64%. OptiBiotix announced on 26 July 2016 that it had acquired a majority shareholding in THWLC to incubate new technological solutions and develop wider product applications in weight management. THWLC produces GoFigure(R) products containing SlimBiome(R) which incorporates OptiBiotix's patented combination of natural ingredients developed by experts to support weight loss (see www.GoFigureDiet.com -- THWLC has gained over 1,000 customers, retail listings in over 80 stores, and 4 distributorships in the UK and Iceland -- Sales have outperformed expectations with GoFigure(R) products receiving excellent customer reviews on Amazon and customer surveys reporting average weight loss of 2 1/2 lbs per week -- GoFigure(R) was voted finalist in "Best New Health & Nutrition" at the 2016 European Natural & Organic Awards -- As announced on 13 December 2016 GoFigure(R) products have attracted corporate interest leading to an agreement with a major multinational to develop food and Over The Counter ("OTC") products containing OptiBiotix's SlimBiome(R) technology for the Asian market, This increased investment will provide THWLC with the resources to build on its early success to:- 1. Invest in product marketing at key seasonal periods 2. Provide the marketing support required for listing in major retail outlets 3. Increase the number of retail listings, particularly with major retail outlets, selling GoFigure(R) products both within the UK and internationally Stephen O'Hara, CEO of OptiBiotix, commented: "We are really pleased with the progress of THWLC and the rapid sales growth of its GoFigure(R) products which have shown the unique ability of our SlimBiome(R) technology to help customers lose weight without feeling hungry, leading to easier and more successful dieting. Our belief in the potential of THWLC is demonstrated by this additional investment which provides funds to invest in marketing, to build stock levels to meet the seasonal demand for weight management products, and to support an increase in retail listings, particularly with major retail outlets. I am sure investors will recognise that given the early success of GoFigure(R) products, which has been achieved without any marketing, there is potential for strong sales growth of GoFigure(R) products over the next few years and substantial value enhancement." | ![]() someuwin

02/1/2017 19:53 | Bob - I don't see why a pharmacy could not, they sell other dietary supplements. What I don't know, is GoFigure using a slight of hand marketing spiel often used by ad campaigns? I asked the question. I may get an answer? edit What is clear from a quick search, GoFigure is being sold at quite a few online retailers. I did not bother with either eBay or Amazon's sites, which include, Poland, Germany Czech rep to name just 3. | elrico
02/1/2017 19:44 | elrico..good find.!! does this mean that go figure can now be recommended in a pharmacy if diet product advice is asked for. If this is the case then go figure would gain customers very quickly.. | ![]() bobdown2
02/1/2017 18:41 | this weeks hot to go stock from mail The hottest stocks to grow your portfolio AUR AUR AUR Ditching mines to make a mint - Hugo Duncan It's all change at Aurum – and at 5.12p, now could be the time to get in. New chairman David Williams, who turned building materials group Breedon into a £1billion company, has outlined plans to sell Aurum's gold and tungsten mining assets and shift into cybersecurity, changing the company's name to Shearwater in the process. Williams has assembled a board including former Airbus UK boss Robin Southwell and Stephen Ball, former head of Lockheed Martin in the UK. Aurum's new chief executive Mo Stevens is the former head of the cybersecurity business at Airbus. The company now plans to acquire or take stakes in small cyber businesses and turn these minnows into major players. An investment in Aurum/Shearwater is not without risks. But the management team looks worth a punt. AUR AUR AUR | ![]() abarclay

02/1/2017 15:30 | I rather we are not tipped, it only attracts more trolls. I read some clown on the share price site actually suggest OPTI have delivered nothing in 5 years....1st error as OPTI was not listed 5 years ago. 2nd error OPTI have revenues from several commercial agreements, Slimbiome via 3 or is it 4 retail deals? The same clown also suggest OPTI are no more than a scam vehicle designed to attract grants...I had to give my head a wobble after reading UK-Les's posts, especially after he said his tip for 2017 was short OPTI and buy TRAKM8. The latter is a prime example of a failed business model which has to buy smaller companies to generate revenues it is incapable of developing itself. I call it cooking the books, smoke and mirrors. I am guessing UK-Les is the premium troll in the background voting down every bull post ;-) | elrico

01/1/2017 17:19 | Opodio - ignorance is bliss, in your case it makes you look a fool. FDA, regulatory issues. Do some research before supplanting your usual scaremongering diatribe you seem to wallow in across the BBs you infest. | elrico
01/1/2017 17:14 | And scaremongering, per se, can be equally damaging and self-fulfilling? Let's hope not - and that a chart is nothing more than a graphic lineal portrayal of historic share-price - to be taken only where the market takes it, rather than the other way round. Let's see. Happy New Year all. | owenmo
