21/7/2018 07:30 | Perfect timing now for another Sweetbiotix agreement, following the interest caused by the Cadbury's news. In the recent interview SOH said he hoped to announce one or two more manufacturing agreements and two or three more application agreements. Plenty of possibilities. | ![]() parob

21/7/2018 01:17 | If Opti were about to confirm a deal with Cadburys surely chairman Neil Davidson would have been disallowed from purchasing shares 10 days ago? | redrose1964
21/7/2018 01:03 | Drawn back into the fray on the back of an eventful few days; siding with Shrewdie and Elrico, pointers notwithstanding, that the Cadbury deal doesn't involve Opti. I think S O'H input (or lack of) is telling. Separately, and of zero consequence - I had noted some months back that the difference in share price as between Opti and SBTX registered at precisely 50p.(58p and 8p. respectively). Haven't we come a long way in a short time where at one point to-day the differential stood at precisely 80p. - 96p versus 16p. Do the math! Howbrewarding (on paper as yet for most of us patientLTHs. If that's by the by, what about the naysayers, as belligerent and persistent to-day as they were back in the day. | ![]() owenmo
21/7/2018 00:56 | shrewd, You surprise me You valued the sugars at “zero”?? I’m surprised I dare say a few others will feel very differently The Sugars have always and will always be in my mind The Holy Grail Im very surprised you think otherwise with your Opti knowledge | ![]() judijudi
21/7/2018 00:51 | When the share price hasnt moved on news, many people are quick to say the market is not impressed. Something clearly HAS impressed the market this week...this rise has not been due to piddly pi buying... | portrush
21/7/2018 00:01 | I wish it was sweetbiotix but the comment from the Huff post is as follows: Mondelez said a team of 20 scientists, nutritionists and chocolatiers worked for almost two years at its Reading and Bournville facilities to cut sugar without adding any artificial sweeteners, colours or preservatives. No mention of Reading University. That does not mean it was not scientists from Reading University or any OPTI collaboration but what really matters is that large manufacturers are looking to reduce the sugar content of their products.Sweetbiotix is something that could be useful in this process and could become a large revenue stream. | mongerlane
20/7/2018 23:47 | Good lord monkey are you still here? Go on have a banana, you've earned it. | ![]() 1bokke
20/7/2018 23:45 | Guys it's obviously not an opti deal. The factual details of the make up in terms of sugar and calories don't fit and don't even get close to what sweet biome can achieve. If anything today's news has just added serious value to that lock out agreement as our strain and capabilities are far superior. Be careful what you wish for. I'm sure soh is talking to companies as big as it bigger than cadburys and their parent company. This is the holy grail tbh and I had basically valued it at zero when I invested here as I risk valued each division and that was the most risky. Now it's in a lockout with a 2 major globals. Let's get back to the bigger picture. This is not about one chocolate bar that has reduced sugar by 30%. Shrewdie | ![]() shrewdmole

20/7/2018 23:20 | Cadbury going part of the way on sugar reduction leaves them with wiggle room to go further be it Opti or not. | ![]() aspex
20/7/2018 22:50 | If Mondelez have found a plant based fibre sugar replacement to reduce some sugars and it's not us, then surely that places SweetBiotix front and centre to team up with one of their competitors like Mars or nestle? I can't see other mn sweetie makers letting Cadbury get a jump on the market without a response.. | ![]() 1bokke
20/7/2018 21:04 | Nobby - what happened to the email you were going to send me? | elrico
20/7/2018 21:03 | Nobby - as a friend mine says..."if the market believed cadburys was linked to OPTI we wouldn't be looking at a 2.50p rise today, it would be nearer 50p. | elrico
20/7/2018 21:00 | Nobby - I think he did. That was my reading of it. ;) | elrico
20/7/2018 20:32 | I guess if its not Opti, it’s good to know they’re aware of Cadbury’s work etc. | polus
20/7/2018 20:22 | >> elrico If it's not sweetbiotix, why not just say it? Ultimately it is not a problem as it is a massive potential market so there is room for multiple products. The fact that he doesn't deny it means it is to me. Just IMHO of course.... | ![]() nobbygnome
20/7/2018 20:13 | So elrampo the beggar has me filtered yet is worried about my health...hmmm. | ![]() monkeywench1
20/7/2018 19:57 | Polus - when I said SOH wouldn't be drawn, I mean he didn't want to expand on the subject. His response; "Lot's of work in this area. We are aware of Cadbury’s work." SOH is exceptionally busy, so entertaining me wouldn't be high on his list of proprieties. I wouldn't read anything into SOH not responding as hoped, or not directly engaging with BB gossip. Once you start down that road, the tail wags the dog, and non of us want that. I can see many reasons for the speculation, not least reference withing the 11/07/17 RNS. Reading Uni and recent announcement regarding the evaluation period, all offer encouragement. However, I think we need to temper this with caution and not set ourselves up for a fall. There is a lot of share price pressure building, which I don't see drying up any time soon, not if the volume of stock I've been told is required. So lets enjoy the ride. There is a lot of news building up from existing deals, and the CII/SlimBiome exhibition which concluded on Wednesday offers further expectations of commercial agreements. | elrico
