"A new version of the Cadbury Dairy Milk bar containing 30% less sugar is to go on sale from next year as part of industry efforts to respond to the obesity crisis.While the new recipe remains a "trade secret", some of the sugar has been replaced with fibre to maintain the original bar's structure and texture. An independent study has shown a sweetener developed by OptiBiotix Health PLC (LON:OPTI) scored well against competitors.
The Flavour and Sensory Science Centre at the University of Reading tested eight different samples.
It found the company's oligosaccharides were significantly sweeter than the other products tested, while being low in all “off-flavours” such as bitterness, sourness, staleness and saltiness.

The company is developing sweet, natural, healthy fibres under the SweetBiotix brand, which are not digested in the human gut, and are therefore calorie-free.

Has any of those with direct contact with SOH received any comment re the Cadbury news ? .... Unusual for SOH / Per etc not to make some sort of mention.

Longer it goes on without any comment I guess potentially that means it might be us and an RNS is being rushed like what happened with the SEED leak.

Given all the promises previously, but the very (IMO) upbeat messages more recently, the Board have to start showing some revenues into OPTI alongside any new partnerships or licencing deals. All very well signing tens of them, but they need to start producing £sss! Maybe at the very least they should have more up front £s for the pleasure of having a licence deal?! DYOR and GLA....

It also says the new bar will have roughly the same calorific value as the old bar. Their tester said it's nice ... the only difference being it is a little less sweet

It says in the daily mail that scientists from reading have been working with Cadbury for the last 2 years to create the new bar. Is this good or bad news for opti ?
