16/7/2018 21:35 | Belgrano The buyers have a price and I have seen things like the rockhopper dip before but it really only works when it's a volatile stock. Opti has been range bound and some have made good money from it trading including many lth with a trading pot. This is different, we have news that should have pushed us way further than we are now anyway but then there were options and ex directors feeding the market which to be fair was partly due to ill health, now there's no real source of stock apart from ysf, who may, or may not sell a few, but there's several ii's a few no, a greater awareness of Opti amongst pi's and a chart breakout. Plus talk of Nigel wray wanting in, the chairman buying £150k in open market and an over subscribed placing. Other than a plane flying over saying buy now there's no stock I don't know what to say. 16/7/2018 20:53 | For any newbies don't believe the rampers. Elrampo TW and others have ramped this for months and look wherever are. DYOR. The share price will rise if substantial revenues are recognised. As yet it's just hope. | monkeywench1

16/7/2018 17:43 | Probably a big risk to have a stop loss close to the current share price as others have talked about. The positive is that if you hold atm you are likely to do very well going forward. | rafboy
16/7/2018 17:35 | Agree with Belgrano - if you have a stop loss set then be very careful, MMs can see that and if they are short of shares they can briefly (and artificially) reduce the price to trigger those stops and get those shares. Happened to me once and lesson learned - I no longer use stops on AIM shares. | jestercat2
16/7/2018 17:25 | Colin and risky, thanks for explanations above. Belgrano - I think Elrico warned about stop losses. Cheers MU | m4rtinu
16/7/2018 17:21 | That's a pleasant day share price wise.. very unlike OPTI ;o) | onedayrodders
16/7/2018 17:09 | Hi Shrewdie, Good to see a nice 2p rise today. I certainly dont want to see the stock get overly overheated that just plays into the hands of the traders. Also closed just above last nights 2nd resistance point , according to barchart. We know the MM's have large unfilled orders from clients wanting cheap stock, they may try a good old fashioned serious tree shake soon, in order to force out those with stop losses set. Saw it happen disgracefully with rockhopper once, price plummeted like 30% in a few minutes triggering all the stops that the mm's could clearly see, and filled the orders on their books. Normal players like myself were unable to buy during this time, and the price fully recovered with many investors cleaned out for a huge % loss and no stock. So dont set stop losses..it could happen soon and its legal. | belgrano2
16/7/2018 17:00 | Following the recent large trade which took David Evans completely out including his options there is no stock which they can call on to cap the price at a certain level or buy at s discount to appease their client. They were likely going short too when they did this for easy profit. Due to the current demand Yorkshire Seed fund will be the only source that can be called on. Otherwise they will be going back to their clients advising them they either pay what they can currently get or potentially miss the boat.Shrewd what are Finncap currently doing on L2? I think Finncap have been exceptionally poor for Opti.Really does show how the dynamics of a company and it's available stock has as much if not more impact on a stock price than simply the progress it makes. VRS has a similar situation a while ago before it could really get going. | riskybusiness1
16/7/2018 16:55 | If there's not enough stock to fill the order then they can't fill it, it's that simple - it would like by creating shares out of thin air. Most orders will be limit orders, fill or kill or partials. | colinzeal
16/7/2018 16:40 | Shrewdie - thanks for post above. I am hoping to take some of it in, as I have no experience of how MMs work. Someone (Ramas?) posted earlier about filling orders for clients at a given price. I asked what happens if there is no (not enough) stock to fill orders. Do MM fill at a loss (having had to pay higher themselves) or renegotiate with client? Clearly there would be stock at the right price but that could be (much) higher than the price agreed initially for any orders. What is your view, please? MU. | m4rtinu
16/7/2018 16:36 | I did say £1 by summer :) I think we'll smash that soon. I see monkey is still posting 4000 times a day trying hard to make this share seem like it's been ramped. Poor Sali..I mean mickey...I mean Monkey. | loungeact

16/7/2018 16:21 | With the suspicion of HNW individuals and possibly II's taking shares from those that have "traded the range" for so long ... it will be interesting to see how the share price reacts to future deal RNS'... Regards to all Mr D | mr dexy
16/7/2018 16:19 | Lounge it doesn't need news at the moment. Cantor are just playing the MM rule book. They've been chasing the bid for a couple of weeks at least and now find that there is no sell volume doing that as the penny has dropped and the buyers are multiple. So let's ease off the bid and see what the pi volume is like? Not great but still no sells of merit to fill the orders they have. Next chapter - drive the offer down and make it look weak, really?!?! They've been jumping all over the place but on any decent volume are on the bid in front. They have orders and they haven't got a clue how to fill them in such a tightly held stock. At some point soon there will be a spike and a pull back and that will scare or tempt a few sellers but certainly not those that have done any decent dd as this is a fraction of where it should currently be valued. 16/7/2018 14:39 | Maganxmas, good to see you on board here. I won't enquire as to which 'investment trusts' you sold down... But I dare say this is a good new home for it. | brucie5 |
