22/11/2017 11:03 | :) Well the seeds have well and truely been sown.... in my humble opinion... Let's hope that by the time that Spring arrives the planned conversion of the shed into a triple garage with office and granny annexe above has been completed. I don't tend to post much, but if I feel I can add anything, I'll try to chip in. Regards Mr D | mr dexy
22/11/2017 11:01 | Dexy, yes, I generally come across these types of companies once a year maximum, to have two at the same time is pretty rare I must say. The one thing that really stuck out with VRS was that their fund raising was so over subscribed, it really was a buy flag! Ditto regarding your research Elrico, very much appreciated. | devonlad
22/11/2017 10:54 | Indeed -Dexy, one should not boast, especially those with no shed to park their lawnmower and no grass to mow. :) | elrico
22/11/2017 10:48 | Elrico, As ever, your contributions are greatly appreciated and the points you highlight are indeed a flavour of the many positives that have led me to this point.. You will of course appreciate that the size of a gentleman's shed is all relative... and not something that should be boasted about :) Dev, Those parallels are remarkable aren't they? it all starts with the man at the top I feel... genuinely excited about the prospects for both. Regards Mr D | mr dexy
22/11/2017 10:34 | Thanks devonlad time for my top up yet then... | bobdown2
22/11/2017 10:21 | Mr D, I hope that you keep hold of that shed. VRS and OPTI are incredibly similar, not only in their stages of development which appear to be exactly the same, but also the fact that they have very unique technologies that no one in the world has. Very excited to be in both, whilst VRS has started its move as the world becomes aware of the real benefits of Nanene, that only VRS can currently produce, they are yet to be made rally aware of the plethora of unique products offered by OPTI, the time will come and OPTI will follow the same pattern. Good luck with the shed! Did mention that I thought an ii or someone was building a big stake yesterday. Classic signs, keep a lid on the share price with small sells to shake out the weak holders and then a few chunky buys to mop up the stock. | devonlad
22/11/2017 10:11 | Dexy - I hope its a big shed ;) In terms of "much to be proved," and unsure of the specifics need proving in your mind. Personally, there were 3 key events that demonstrated to my mind OPTI are about to step up a few gears, most likely in 2018 when the following events occurred: 1. The fact that Sacco have appointed a product Manager at significant financial cost to support entry to the US probiotic market and extend the product opportunity into dairy was key. Sacco are one of the world's largest probiotic manufacturers and this reflects the confidence they have in the products i.e a major manufacturer is paying to promote and sell OPTI's products in the US. This investment is expected to be over €500K. Also the Sacco deal indicated a commitment from them to support the funding of further developments to expand the commercialisation of LP-LDL® into new markets. This is a big commitment by a partner to access a big market. 2. The incorporation of SlimBiome into cereal products with one of the major suppliers to cereal manufacturers such as Kelloggs, Nestle, General Mills etc in the US. The B2B strategy takes time to develop and yet it is central to any deal in international markets is a relationship with a manufacturer who can provide SlimBiome in different formats for consumer companies like TATA, Kelloggs, General Mills etc. 3. Knighton foods is another key development which has already demonstrated brilliant strategic development that has yielded significant improvements to SlimBiome, which has opened up new markets. This technical innovation which extends the opportunities for SlimBiome will prove substantive within health and wellbeing sectors. I highlight SlimBiome only because most of us (I include myself) did not envisage SlimBiome being such a success. I think most of us had our success on LP-LDL® and SweetBiotix as being the key revenue drivers. | elrico
22/11/2017 09:48 | I thought Bened Biomedical were way ahead of the Irish! | asterix96
22/11/2017 09:43 | The Microbiome Institute in Cork University had been referenced here a number of times; even suggested that SOH had forged links? The team catches Irish Times front page to-day: "Scientists plan bacteria treatment for depression" (not that we weren't aware of this development.)Previou | owenmo
22/11/2017 09:33 | Hi All, I must have first seen this stock in '15... seemed to be a bit of a PI favourite and hyped everwhere... so I guess it must have passed me by and I irrationally didn't delve any deeper because in my mind I associated it with that "buzz" of the time. Anyway, roll on a couple of years, and I've come back to it... had a good 'ol root around and I must say, I'm both pleasantly suprised and impressed to find what appears to be a genuine business here. It seems to me to be shaping up rather well, although obviously still much to be done and much to be proved. Around this time last year, I said of another stock ( that Dev might recognise :) ) that I wouldn't suggest staking the house on it... but it would seem sensible to have a "shed's worth" at this stage... I've recently installed the shed.. and I'll be following events closely :) Just wanted to pass on my thanks to the knowledgeable contributors here who have helped with my understanding of the business and the products.. and wish you all good luck with your investments. Regards and best wishes Mr D | mr dexy
22/11/2017 08:59 | I would like some more. But as always money needs to be in place. The buying this morning suggests that these prices might not be here for much longer... | bobdown2
22/11/2017 08:56 | I think as the sector becomes more established we won't bat an eyelid at 50 and 100k trades. We are still very much at the starting gate in terms of public awareness. That pr push from Jan will make a lot of difference imo. S | shrewdmole
22/11/2017 08:52 | I'm not sure of the reason, could be a false dawn, we have had a number of those. But quiet a lot of buys out of the gate.....seems unusual (++ the 100k buy) | zebbo
22/11/2017 08:48 | It's one of the reasons for spinning of the different vehicles I thought? To protect itself from an unwanted raid. | shrewdmole
22/11/2017 08:41 | ZEBBO, did you just start the rumour? I think SOH wants to take OPTI all the way so don't believe a rumour. | rafboy

22/11/2017 00:22 | Drago I have just learned how to filter, I think; proof will be if Rayrac has gone to ground; you have made my day - thank you; I’ll now wait for mmouse to re-appear before applying the same antidote. My life has just become simpler - a la Montaigne; any Montaigne fans out there? Beats the hell out of rayrac and mouse; you are the weakest links, goodbye. | owenmo
