26/4/2017 17:24 | Spike,Has it not been pushed back to 24/36 months?? So 2019/20??Just need clarification. | talkingtrade
26/4/2017 17:23 | I'm looking at selling 50% of my holding - just letting you know. I'll buy back a 65p | ![]() silverpete
26/4/2017 17:00 | talking trade: my recollection is very similar to yours, but at last year's presentation he did also say don't expect profit before 2018. And many on here simply refused to believe it. So a year later he is still saying 2018 but there is very significantly more meat on the bones. Best wishes - Mike | ![]() spike_1
26/4/2017 16:50 | 1bokke - I see so you were all lying and the shakes did in fact taste wonderful and didn't really need anything adding? ;) It matters not. 2-3 lbs weight loss is cr*p. What's the situation with this bizarre mention of distributing SBTX shares to shareholders? Never heard anything quite like this nonsense before. If it was going to happen then it should have been organised before the IPO. All scenarios for shareholders are now unattractive. Firstly, SBTX shares appear to be on the slide since it is massively overvalued. If Opti is still 2/3 years from decent revenues then SBTX must be even further away. If you don't get any shares shortly then they might not be worth having anyway. Secondly, if Opti gives away it's shareholding then it automatically undermines it's own balance sheet and hence value. It would also potentially lead to a disorderedly selling frenzy in SBTX's shares, as the new holders are not constricted with any lock-in period. It just ain't gonna work is it? Aimho of course. | ![]() michaelmouse
26/4/2017 16:48 | Elrico,Was it not SOH who stated over 12m ago that IHO share price should be trading around £2???Was it not SOH who stated there was strong II demand???Did SOH not make comparison between DDDD and OPTI??Was it not SOH who has made comparisons with OPTI and other microbiome companies valued in 100s millions??Maybe I've got it wrong but we have had some overly bullish statements from company in interviews and podcasts.I could be mistaken with the above, but it does seem that potential revenue streams seem to be being pushed back.I recall end of 2015 we were told 2016 would be a blockbuster year...Same was said of 2017.Yet in in reality we trade sideways. | talkingtrade
26/4/2017 16:40 | Elrico I 100% agree with you and I was going to ask you to copy and paste that post to TW but I see you already done so! Why did he respond in the HSR comments section with 'everything is all my fault, good another reason to quit' - does he mean quit his job? He is such a drama queen and it's pathetic he cannot respond to your points with any validity. | branboyd1
26/4/2017 16:36 | TW should sell asap if he wants a quick return. | branboyd1
26/4/2017 16:33 | So knocking a product that you've never tried in an effort to put people off investing, hmm if you're not careful you could start sounding like you don't do any research on the companies you comment on. Aimho of course | ![]() 1bokke
26/4/2017 16:29 | Spot on elrico. rhs and share price have had a hand in building short term expectations. i bought on the back of this hype. i am happy holding long term now though thanks to being educated about the business you riskybusiness, parob and other have tried to put across. | slartybartfaster
26/4/2017 16:26 | 1bokke - Sorry to disappoint you but I'd never buy dietary products. No need. A good healthy balanced diet and fitness regime do the trick. I'm surmising that the shakes don't taste particularly great since the discussion on the other thread involved investors adding goodness knows what to the shakes to make them more palatable. It was quite amusing to read actually. I think you'll find adding liquidised Mars Bars and whatever else defeats the object somewhat. Perhaps that was why the average weight loss was a measly 2-3 lbs. :) | ![]() michaelmouse

26/4/2017 16:14 | It is ironic SOH is being held to ransom for TW hyping and then getting his knickers in a twist because SOH has not delivered on the TW hype. TW should have known better, especially with his inside knowledge. He should have known the science needed proofing first, then protect the IP, patents, etc. Only then can OPTI move on with negotiating terms, then each partner needs to perform their own DD, sample market data and now we learn some prospective partners have been looking at ways to circumvent the IP...ALL very time consuming. It was TW's HSR that put P&G out there and terms like "telephone numbers, rerating and imminent." The fact that HSR is geared towards SHORT TERM TRADING, rather than LONG TERM INVESTING causes its own problems for OPTI. There will not be massive orders but a progressive increase in sales which in the first year will be interspersed with peaks and troughs depending on the reporting periods for partners supply or royalty payments and partner performance. Typically about 10 partners 3-4 do really well, 3 middling and the remainder need changing. This mean that typically you won’t get a reasoned view of sales potential until you have at least 12-18 months sales. An example of this is the GoFigure sales and then Tata, both will contribute to revenues in different periods and cycles of start up phases. Common sense needs to be applied here. | elrico

26/4/2017 15:29 | Probably just a reminder for some on here, none of us were sentenced to hold these shares so if you are not happy with recent news or you feel your money is better spent elsewhere then please don't let the door hit you on the way out, nothing quite so irritating though when you have to pay more to buy something back because you got rid of it without thinking it through... I for one believe that what is transpiring here is more or less what was projected to happen, and whilst I am surprised that the share price has not risen with all that has been announced this year I too am taking the view that this provides an unexpected opportunity to buy a few more. There are a lot of landmines on AIM but I don't think for one second that Opti is one of them. | ![]() 1bokke

26/4/2017 14:25 | One of the most puzzling statements from full year results yesterday with regard to SlimBiome, GoFigure, and the Health Weight Loss Company is this:- "The products received excellent reviews and most importantly, dieters reported losing an average of 2-3lbs with the products helping manage hunger and leading to a reduction in calorie intake." Firstly, over what time period was this 2-3lbs weight loss? To put it bluntly, 2-3lbs is s*d all really which calls into question whether these products do actually work in managing hunger and/or weight loss? If they did surely dieters would have lost far more weight than 2-3lbs? Just for comparison, in a rigorous gym workout you'll probably lose around 1-2 lbs weight through fluid loss. I'd begin to question whether the science does actually work? It certainly something to think about. Even if it does, in the real world most dieters won't give a monkeys about the science, they just want to lose weight and quickly. There are thousands of products out there that are just as effective if not better and far tastier. Aimho of course. | ![]() michaelmouse
26/4/2017 14:14 | It's also in the business plan....opti does not need much revenue to generate a profit as its costs are so small. The valuations from profit making companies in this field are massive...Probi £4m profit £400m valuation. Opti £80-100k cash burn. Probi is equivalent to the optiscreen lpldl division. Forget the rest. | ![]() riskybusiness1
26/4/2017 14:11 | Opti is less than 3 years listed on aim. Why did it list? To raise money to develop its platforms so that these products that have huge opportunities can turn from concept to reality. This has gone exactly to plan, if not better. Where are these big deals people ask? Corporates buy and distribute tangible products. They do not spend time building the initial sales and they do not take the risk of developing the science like startups such as opti, they just buy it. Go figure turned £80k, as expected, whilst there was £200k from corporates simply paying to sit with opti. Why would that be? Opti is ahead of any other microbiome company using the same science in terms of getting products to market (all others have gone the pharmaceutical route 5+ years behind). Optis research is world leading and the ability to precision engineer the microbiome, a worlds first. This opportunity is not possible to comprehend and thus not properly valued - probably why soh mentions not being fairly valued and the reason behind delisting the divisions in to separate more valuable divisions.Revenues will build gradually, people expecting opti to be turning £1m+ by now? The products are only just coming out...get real. Opti has done everything right, developing the science turning it in to a viable product and protecting it through overlapping patents. This all takes time. If opti sells a product that can easily be copied then opti will be less valuable, obviously. The next phase is commercialisation which turns this blatantly obvious interest from corporates in to commitment. Lpldl hasn't even hit the shelves yet. Some revent comments have been truly brainless. | ![]() riskybusiness1
26/4/2017 13:41 | Bran - I don't believe we were arguing...I was just correcting your assumptions. You are correct, I am slippery, but that is more of a baby oil fetish rather than anything sinister :) Spike - I have stated here before. I ask SOH to fact check before I post anything substantive because I believe it is the responsible thing to do. It also offers me support when accused of "ramping." I also declared the two errors SOH corrected. I also made the point of stating SOH did not request I remove Boots and or P&G from the first report in Someuwins header. I can say I don't expect to elicit non public material and, if I did GAIN ANY, I would be concerned for the integrity of the BOD. | elrico |
