Results are out then.

In summary, blah, blah, blah, blah............

No mention of any "free shares", first product launch is turning out to be a total damp squib, no mention of future significant revenues or profitability and the company is valued at £57m (LOL).

Cash is ok because of the fund raising but they still burnt £1,250,000 worth which is approximately 25% more than last year (£980,000).

The major worry would be their comments about the first commercial product,

"dieters reported losing an average of 2-3lbs with the products"

Bloody hell. Hardly impressive is it?

"Sales have grown steadily and in line with seasonal trends"

Management speak for not very impressive sales growth and in fact they have probably dipped recently (seasonal trends).

In summary, the report has told you nothing you didn't already know apart from the above. Gulp!

So you still have a company that is valued at £57m, it reported revenues of £288,119, losses increased to £1,341,112 and operating cash burn increased to £1,250,000. The first product launch is turning out to be a damp squib and will require massive marketing spend to get any substantial traction at all:-

"highly competitive weight management market. This market is driven by short-term fashions and trends"

"Sales are driven by seasonality associated with targeted investment in product and brand marketing at key seasonal periods"

and profits from the group are many years away.

Good luck.

Aimho of course.

Cue the idiots that say '£57m company with £288k revenues'...actually very good at this stage considering opti has only stuck slimbiome in go figure purely to advertise it. That £288k won't be from just go figure alone it will be from partners paying to sit at the table and use optis tech.Lpldl has signed a profit sharing manufacturing agreement with Sacco, one of the biggest supplier of probiotics in Europe..... it is not going to be launched like a go figure!

Ha ha, didn't take long for the parrots to arrive and kept repeating themselves...revenue, market cap, revenue, market cap, who's a pretty boy then? Fools. £3m in bank, on the brink of major commercialisation, a line of successfully tested products as long as your arm....but then of course anyone invested already knew this. Results day should never contain any surprises if the company is doing its job properly, so I'm very content.

Revenue £288,119, cost of sales £28,200, margin 90%

That's a stonking great margin, especially considering the number of discount offers that were available in the first few months. I would assume that the margin %age will reduce next year as Go-Figure is sold more at wholesale prices to other retail outlets (as per Elrico's report), but clearly there is plenty of room in the profit generated to accommodate the wholesale price.

I would say very positive all around. A good business model, great forward looking statement , and no nasty surprises.... Go Figure sales could on their own make this company break even in a years time if sales expand as they are, such is the controlled cash burn ! Balance sheet still very healthy... Nice One and happy to hold!

OptiBiotix will continue to use THWLC to incubate new technological solutions and establish early consumer interest and product viability. It believes this is an effective way to attract interest from industry partners who want to use Slimbiome(R) as a food ingredient in other products in other product applications and international markets.

Will this be the route to launch LP-LDL in May or will it be through other partners?

Results very much as expected. Revenue covers a very short period following a soft launch. Not concerned about this. So much going on. Well financed and a leader in its field. Would like to know more about shareholder dividend from Skin demerger.

SoH's comment on GoFifure products at UK Investor:

"They're being sold quicker than we can make them at the moment, there is huge demand".

The company will look very different in 12 months time:In the last 12 months commercial deals have focused on joint development, cost sharing, or option agreements with partners contributing funding in return for certain future rights. The next 12 months will see the Company transition from a technology company to a product company building revenues streams from a diverse range of products. Interesting to hear that Christina will be focusing on slimbiome and Per on LP-LDL. I guess it make sense to become an expert in one product area. All very positive IMO.

All sounds very positive.

"The Groups cash position remains strong at GBP3,115,366 (2015: GBP2,040,888) which is sufficient to fund its existing research and development programmes, extend technology platforms into other product and application areas, and support the sales and marketing of our pipeline of products."
