21/12/2016 15:01 | I think it's clear the share price is weak and in control of the bears! All the talk of deliberately lowering the price to fill large orders looks highly unlikely! At some point the tide will turn, but with a large institution offloading (has been for over a year) it could take a while! It might take a drop into the 50's to get a massive volume upturn to finally flush them out! Painful viewing as the price isn't reflecting fundamentals at all in 2016! | f3rdinand
21/12/2016 14:57 | Elrico I just got offered 62.5p | john henry
21/12/2016 14:50 | They won't find buyers with a offer premium like they have been - they want to flush weak holders out because anyone on the offer has a limit nearer 63-64p. Someone is being cute by playing a game near Christmas. | elrico
21/12/2016 14:38 | MMS trying to find buyers and clear the overhang. Quite simply there are none. | john henry
21/12/2016 14:26 | shiver me timbers, it's 61 to sell, what the hell | neftanikoff
21/12/2016 12:58 | OWENMO,great post with a lot of sense, I personally believe what SH says, probably the most exciting company he has ever worked with, the problem we have at the moment is that we came out of the blocks like a sprinter instead of a long distance runner, the shares shot up on excitement of the product and has slipped back as we all know, but since those highs we have developed more science and probably one or two new spin offs, one deal has been done hopefully and another one is just around the corner , SH still gets calls on a regular basis from companies who are interested in our science, if we can develope a cream which can stop MRSA THIS would be brilliant once again jam tomorrow but this will be a game changer, what will that be worth, millions of pounds I can see where the doom mongers are coming from, but I do get the feeling they want to be proved wrong, well I told you all that a deal was going to be announced very soon, and like I said due diligence is being done on another, and will be announced soon, then watch the share price rise, now I am not saying the price will be 2 pounds like SH has predicted but I do know that we are on the verge of some big deals but once again jam tomorrow, but that's how shares operate on AIM,I also believe we could be taken over by a corporate if we progress, so the sooner we split the better as far as I am concerned. 21/12/2016 11:45 | Completely agree forsad, meat on bones certainly needed. Pretty much no value attached to JV developments | john henry
21/12/2016 11:43 | Sure thanks for post risky business | sukithedog
21/12/2016 11:39 | Elrico, agreed... I'm not sure that they will be at the product launch stage, but I can't see the IPO being successful unless they have at least one significant commercial agreement in place with named partners and more meat on the bones than the recent news. | fozdad
21/12/2016 11:31 | Harsh and incorrect assumption of Rickybusiness - Always balanced with his opinion with a great knowledge of the science, etc. I think the ONLY part where myself and risky diverge is where Skinbiotix is in its development stages. I am hopeful Skinbiotix is further down the line in terms of commercialising its IP. Why I am putting myself out on a limb and setting myself up for a fall? Firstly, I have no issue with being wrong, I am just putting an hypothesis out there. My logic is simple; UoM have done a lot of the groundwork in partnership with Johnson & Johnson and others over several years. SOH has likely took a view OPTI skin IP would complement UoM IP and science applications, thus shortening the work. I don't believe OPTI's jumped in blind early this year, they must have done some DD, perhaps R&D before their investment - it would have been very odd as well as risky had they not done so. Here's where I lose some of you, if I haven't already...TW believes the Skinbiotix IPO will lead to a major rerating of OPTI shares; I don't think a £6 million IPO is going to do that. However, guessing the IPO price is akin to guessing the OPTI share price this time next year...an exorcise in futility. It is for the aforementioned reasons I THINK Skinbiotix will list when it is either ready to launch a product(s) or very close to doing so, as this is the next logical step and best strategic option to sure up the IPO and OPTI share price If this is not the case, then Skinbiotix will need to have a JV insitu before listing(most likely scenario), this is where I think most investors think Skinbiotix will be in its stage of developments. | elrico
21/12/2016 10:45 | Owen, Agree 100% Absolutely a waste of time | judijudi
21/12/2016 10:10 | Suki - have always been bullish on opti. Few do not understand this is cutting edge science which has to go through multiple de risking phases to become commercial. Skin is at the earliest phase. Human trials etc will need to be conducted proving the concept. I believe currently the concept is proven only on skin in labs which is detached from the body. What happens on live humans will it cause rashes? etc etc. It will most likely commercialise lower tech lower regulatory cosmetic products first, but not for at least a couple years - being realistic. Once fully validated it will probably move on to the wound care markets etc which have higher regulatory requirements using higher level tech, giving higher returns. Similar to opti is progressing: Slimbiome - probiotics - sugars. Last weeks deal however gives slimbiome early promise to surprise in terms of revenues from the lower tech side of things | riskybusiness1
21/12/2016 10:09 | Agreed, Owen. Best guessing share price of any share is daft, especially when its difficult to be objective. Best guessing an AIM share is dafter. Best guessing THIS AIM share is dafter still, given the history over the past 2 years and the fact that just a single II seller can massively influence the share price. So, I'm not going to guess the price but I am very optimistic for 2017. I disagree with moron Mazz when he says the skin and Indian deals will be jam tomorrow; yes, there will be some up front payment and the remainder sales royalties. However, a royalty based deal with a reputable MN hugely de-risks the application and I expect that to be reflected in the share price | kipper1960
21/12/2016 09:34 | What a daft, wishful thinking pursuit - best-guessing share price in 2017. Spare us please. The market will decide - as and when it has something, or something's (or thinks it has) on which to base it. Conjecture at this point is just silly. It could as easily be £5 if a number of strategies hit target - or 20p if they don't. Our hopes and expectations are pinned in belief that SOH is an honest bloke and that when he says "exciting" he means it. | owenmo
21/12/2016 09:34 | Surely too many if's and buts at the moment to hazard any accurate forecasts! If the cholesterol/ blood pressure products are as amazing as the human trials suggest and they capture the publics/ media imagination then the sky's the limit! If they're a damp squib... | f3rdinand
21/12/2016 08:45 | Parob, IMHO a high net worth retail investor has been and is still selling down. | john henry
21/12/2016 08:43 | Adnan, I would think a price around 100-120p in 12 months time If they announce some positive commercial agreements. | john henry
21/12/2016 08:28 | Where do fellow investors see the share price in the next 12-18 months. I understand deals will involve some upfront payment and the royalties on sale of products containing the specific ingredients. If overheads are likely to remain quite low given this is use of IP then that is very good for profit margins on revenue. If the chol lowering/BP lowering supplement is taken down a pharma route with a higher dose by a big corporate, that would be a very strong revenue generator? Keeping things conservative what would be a good share price in that time frame given the deals are announced in a timely fashion Personally I would like to see close to if not north of £2 It would be good to get the opinions of the some of the more informed posters many thanks Adnan | adnanwolf
21/12/2016 07:39 | Yep so that's 114K shares picked up yesterday, hopefully by an institution.Suki, you're not reading risky's post the correct way. He is very bullish on Opti and one of the most knowledgable posters on this bb. He was advising mazzstar to sell as he doesn't seem to understand what he's invested in! | parob
21/12/2016 07:28 | Another good after hours buy 17:49:3264.096. 57, 000 | sukithedog
21/12/2016 05:15 | Erico- no issue with you I was quoting what risky business said - they have been all bullish and now change their minds -fed up of posters who haven't s clue | sukithedog
21/12/2016 04:48 | Sukthedog - AIM regs changed in Jan. As I explained, the minimum IPO was £3m raised to £6m post Jan. | elrico
21/12/2016 00:11 | Strange , why you would write this a few days ago- Elrico - looking at a minimum £6m ipo then. Very interesting. Much to look forward to in 2017. | sukithedog
20/12/2016 22:00 | You realise skin once demerged will progress virtually the same as opti has? Lower tech to market first followed by higher valued higher tech later. There's a process from concept to commercial that has to be followed..... skin won't be jam tomorrow more like a few years - probably best to sell now | riskybusiness1
20/12/2016 19:49 | Mazz- what do you hope for the share price on demerger? | sukithedog |
