19/12/2016 14:35 | Awfully good of them to drop the price so someone can buy in ?? It does stagnate the price.....am I right? | bobdown2
19/12/2016 12:13 | Elrico - looking at a minimum £6m ipo then. Very interesting. Much to look forward to in 2017. | riskybusiness1
19/12/2016 11:21 | Thetoonarmy2 , excellent LT price. Your buy just confirms that there is still a large overhang still present. Maybe YSF have started to offload a few more, they are probably the only institution holding there days. | john henry
19/12/2016 11:07 | You wouldn't want another leaky AIM company...it's never a good sign. Be thankful 2017 is going to be a good year for OPTI and some club in the NE...I feel confident Moy's will keep your mackem mate up :-) | elrico
19/12/2016 10:47 | John Henry. I managed to get 100k on friday at prices ranging from 63.5p to 63.9p relatively easy to pick up though hopefully some news soon, mind these boys are not the best at giving much away. | thetoonarmy2
19/12/2016 10:21 | It's plainly obvious investors are not prepared to pay much more than 64p, so why the MMs keep widening the visible spread is beyond me, especially when they need buyers to create a two way market.IMHO there is a buyer who steps in every so often, (Friday) However normally daily volume is very light with predictable 10/15k seller.Last weeks news has been more or less washed over. | john henry
19/12/2016 09:49 | F3 not until the seller has departed. | john henry
19/12/2016 08:12 | Santa rally would be nice! :) | f3rdinand
18/12/2016 20:12 | Diamond - 18030 sounds like a cliffhanger! Then I was alway pants and crosswords. | elrico
18/12/2016 20:11 | Parob - you may well be correct. I seem to remember OPTI saying they have a supplement and pharma route; this suggests two companies? Is RDSM one and P&G the other? Which is likely to go pharma and supplement? RDSM seem the most likely to go down the supplement route. I am sure such speculation will have Anna rolling her eyes and wagging her finger at the screen. Sorry Anna...just in box and I'll stop the speculation if you tell who and what is what ;-) | elrico
18/12/2016 20:04 | Risky - Going back to Skinbiotix IPO; I have a number at the back of my head which is saying the old AIM rule referring to a MIN IPO value (fundraising) must be at least £3 million, I am fairly sure this was increased in Jan 2016 to a min £6 million. I think it is related to AIM rule 43. Using this conservative figure would give OPTI c£3 million interest of Skinbiotix after expenses. I would hope they afford themselves warrants allowing themselves to increase their holding as a strategy preventing a 3rd party taking a control of it. All speculation at this point, but interesting all the same...to me at any rate ;-) | elrico
18/12/2016 14:29 | Well done John, I know of two at this point in time. | diamond fibre
18/12/2016 14:09 | Sunday mail quiz, question two. Hang tight boys. | diamond fibre
18/12/2016 10:51 | I think there's a strong possibility that one of the contracts to be announced early next year will be with Royal DSM, for product launch(es) in Spring. During the TW/AR interview we are told Royal DSM are working on cholesterol - and that "we are doing a lot of work with them". It seems DSM's current main cholesterol product is Oatwell: Oats contain beta-gluten which is known for its ability to reduce cholesterol. In the following article, it states the recommended daily amount reduces LDL and total cholesterol by just 0.25 mmol/L and 0.3 mmol/L respectively, so tiny compared to OPTI's product. -------------------- Just under 600k shares changed hands on Friday. Very high volume for a Friday. Over 300K of buys as the price was up. I really think low 60's is the floor, with a strong demand at this level - some pretty chunky buys have been going through recently. Surely the downside risk is limited now and it's a cracking time to load up - someone certainly is! Could that just be the start of an uptrend developing on the chart with higher lows and higher highs? | parob
17/12/2016 14:55 | Thanks for the info john henry, but do we know if they are more joint venture contracts, or the first revenue contracts everybody is crying out for ? | hamcutlet
17/12/2016 12:12 | Having recently had several Email exchanges with AR I am 99.999999 % certain we will have 2 more contracts signed early in the new year. | john henry

16/12/2016 18:27 | F3rdinand 15 Dec '16 - 20:11 - 17965 of 18026 0 0 Personally I found today's interview rather odd... 1) The backtracking of the commercial update stating 6 deals with multinationals are at the final stages of negotiations! Why did SOH say that if it's not true? Reynolds made a point of saying 'not multiple deals' hopefully more than one or two more! The vagueness of the info on DSM I found odd too! will they be making the cholesterol products!? 2) He seems bizarrely cautious regarding time scales to profitability. 12/18 months... blimey I was hoping mid 2017 the big profits would come through thanks to the cholesterol products being on the shelf! All in all he seemed to be downplaying SOH's recent RNS/ interviews! The first time I'm having a few doubts about OPTI tbh. | loveandmoney1
16/12/2016 18:22 | jan 13 Stephen O'Hara, CEO of OptiBiotix, commented: "We are pleased to announce the signing of this commercial agreement with KSF, whose dietary programme is a trusted and well recognised global brand in weight management. This agreement brings together OptiBiotix's novel science with KSF's industry expertise, product range, and market reach to access a market estimated globally to be worth $622bn in 2015. OptiBiotix continues to make strong commercial progress across all it platforms consistent with its strategy of creating multiple product and partnering opportunities for large global markets with an unmet need." SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY TWO BILLION! Likes spouting big numbers..... a year on..... | loveandmoney1
