Wise to be worried imo a lot of promotion.......a lot of big numbers in rns's......something doesn't sit right with me at all..


this is all old science,the market is saturated with these products.

Personally I found today's interview rather odd...

1) The backtracking of the commercial update stating 6 deals with multinationals are at the final stages of negotiations! Why did SOH say that if it's not true? Reynolds made a point of saying 'not multiple deals' hopefully more than one or two more! The vagueness of the info on DSM I found odd too! will they be making the cholesterol products!?

2) He seems bizarrely cautious regarding time scales to profitability. 12/18 months... blimey I was hoping mid 2017 the big profits would come through thanks to the cholesterol products being on the shelf!

All in all he seemed to be downplaying SOH's recent RNS/ interviews! The first time I'm having a few doubts about OPTI tbh.

Thanks for the confirmation WL, it had to be given the circumstances. Probably disappointing in a way that it is a pi and not an insti. But dare i say it, the new year looks good and must be better than this year.

Whatever it is, it looks like a good ending this evening with the mm's seemingly wanting your shares as they are allowing lots to be sold without referral. Possibly a good time to buy for a nice run up to eoy, bearing in mind what has been said earlier that just maybe this is being kind of manipulated for someone to buy in these mid 60's, all speculation, naturally.

No idea but watching the trades today, it's been an odd day. Very high volume for a Friday and a 100K trade has just gone through!

Looking at the lse site trades looks like that's what happening there. I know sometimes the red & blue colour for buys and sells are often wrong but those quotes are pretty odd. Demand but no supply? Any ideas?

Very odd, can currently sell 30K of shares online for 64.18. Was quoted 64.1 to buy a small amount.

Mms can put fake sell orders through at ridiculously low prices spooking the market thus lowering the bid. Sometimes even when they do not have any stock to sell. They can then purchase the shares at a lower price spinning them off to the client for quick profit. It can be perceived to us pis that there is a large sell. Have to say with recent sentiment and the ongoing debate whether there still is a seller or not, now would be the ideal time to employ such a tactic. Elrico your reference to soh with intervention of finncap sounds about right imho. How this can be legal is beyond me

Risky definitely a large seller still lurking. Despite the good buying today MMs still not wanting stock and Fincap obviously trying to shift a wedge.

PS avery tight spread, as you can sell quite a few at 64.2 and the quoted offer is 64.25, if there was a large sell to clear, why do they make it easy to sell?

Risky - Your speculation is probably very close to events. SOH mentioned Finncap had to step in a few weeks ago when MM dropped share price for a buyer, thus spooking some PI's into selling. It is a tactic I have spoken about before, but I suspect some people just think its just a conspiracy.

Any upward momentum recently has been immediately thwarted. 50k buys over the past month or have been increasing. Complete speculation, but it does look like someone is accumulating, hopefully a long awaited ii. Price range of 60-65ish seems to be the only price they'll pay. Hints of mm manipulation going on here made much easier by the lack of volume.

mazzstar, i think you are quite rude to fellow posters. I asked you yesterday twice why you called that interview a 'shocker' and you could not come up with a reasoned answer. It seems to me that you are looking for something to hit the company with each time you write. You mention 2 others, they may well have reduced their holdings in opti and have an agenda to carry out or i may be doing them a disservice. Calling me a coward is just another pathetic thing for you to say, i stand by my call for you to be OPTI's "moron poster of the week" and believe me that takes some doing, when you consider you are up against people like monkeywench.

PS i still don't know if you believe OPTI will announce deals with MN'n early next year?
