Great find by AJS in the twitter group. His post:Independent Paper published just last week covering (in the main) LGG and its encouraging trial results in assiting in the fight against Cancer. Could be interesting for Opti considering we have patented a Prebiotic to enhance the growth rate and efficacy of LGG.hTTps://www.mdpi.com/2072-6694/11/1/38 Ending of 'Abstract' section of paper;"The role of the Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG), as the most studied probiotic model in cancer, is also reported. Overall, according to the findings here summarized, novel strategies integrating probiotics, such as LGG, with conventional anti-cancer therapies are strongly encouraged."Part of conclusion section;"LGG is a very good example of a probiotic well studied in cancer, often administered as complementary therapeutic to cure dysbiosis. Given the observed functions as anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer agent in both cellular and animal models, this probiotic may be suggested to be further characterized as adjuvant in integrated anti-cancer therapies in the future. In line with that observation, this year have witnessed novel breakthrough studies on the association between probiotics and anti-cancer therapy efficacy, as three parallel studies identified specific gut species populating the gastro-intestinal tract of cancer immunotherapy responders, able to improve the efficacy of immunotherapy treatments."

I’m impressed they can have a little banter as such over Twitter, shows they are comfortable with whoever the buyers are.

Seems some numpties here have no idea what it’s like dealing with large buyers, there is nothing negative in that tweet whatsoever.

“I guess that means we can rule out getting a contract from any of those four supermarkets anytime soon.”

Why? Sounds like they have approached these companies and are pending a decision, at what stage that process is not indicative from a tweet.

If anything I’d take from that tweet they are close to signing one at least, advertising fact they are contacting all suggests there’s completion, who’s first to move?

Looks to me you are spooking investors whilst dumping a few shares for own gain, just saying.

All the best.

Well access on line to the muesli pots is an expensive way of buying them, because surely there’s delivery on top? So if they can’t get them into stores near you, then that’s a big hurdle to overcome!

Holland and Barrett?

I wonder if that specific list of supermarkets means these are the ones with whom deals will be signed shortly....

Someuwin you just scared a load of people away with a barrage of sells albeit low volume! So no shop sales then. Oh well let's hope some of the larger deals come through with clear revenue associated :)

You read my mind.

It’s all on low volume these movements anyway.

As ever the drops are on low volume the rises on higher volume.

We know they are working on a seal for the retail market so that may be a misplaced assumption IMHO

Just seen this tweet from GoFigure from a few days ago. I guess that means we can rule out getting a contract from any of those four supermarkets anytime soon.

GoFigure Diet‏ @GoFigureDiet · Jan 7

We frequently get asked if our fantastically filling muesli pots that aid with weight management and help with gut health can be found in shops near them, with feedback such as this from our customers, they certainly should be! @sainsburys @Tesco @asda @waitrose.

The bid price was 89p last Friday evening and it's 90p at the moment - happy if we keep creeping up each week.

Agree Parob, I was wondering if we were forming a pennant/flag type thing at the weekend. Not worried by the fall back this week, still fitting the formation which is very positive.

Bullish pennant forming on the chart. The longer this hovers just under the 100p mark, the more powerful the move will be once we do go through.

Changing consumer choices will force the majors to utilise products like Slimbiome and Sweetbiotix, this won't happen overnight but it will happen, bear in mind these products take years to be shelf ready, the majors are already planning the next wave of products (which will invariably be lower sugar/sugar replacement and higher fibre)

A little more on the BBC's Britain's Fight Fat programme last night.

Hugh F-W did a quick, very unscientific survey of what impression certain snack bars gave. They were: Goodness Knows (Mars), Nutri-Grain (Kelloggs) and Go Ahead (Utd Biscuits). Impressions were based on(apparent)fruit content, product name(what does it suggest?) and positioning (on shelves of cereal bars).

The (few) people that he asked, all thought the bars would be healthy. When he pointed out the high % of sugar and fat and the low % of fruit, they were surprised.

Now, you may say people shouldn't be "silly" and should study the ingredients, but it appears that some people don't read the labels very carefully.

As these bars are on sale in many supermarkets, I'm not sure how OPTI/ Go Figure products would stand out. Obviously they would to us!

On a general level, it is good that a high profile figure like Hugh F-W cares so much, that he is prepared to campaign for healthier eating in this way. IMHO, he did seek government support, but he didn't blame them. He did blame the companies' cynical marketing though.
